It was great that Kubiak was able to make the adjustments in the 2nd half to make the offense more effective.
But if we have first halfs offensively against opponents the way we did against the Falcons, we're going to struggle against better teams with better QBs (meaning they will score a lot more than just 6 points)
We can't fully depend on our Defense to basically hold the fort all the time until our offense wakes the f*ck up in the 2nd half.
We also can't depend on Rashid Shaheed having a 100 yard Kickoff return for a TD (which changed the whole tenor of the game) every time.
Next week they will have another opportunity to work out the kinks in the offense against a Daniel Jones-LESS Colts team so we'll see what happens.
I will say although there are posters that are content that a win is a win and they don’t care about style points, how a team wins or loses makes a difference to me. I want to see a total balance game without it taking so long for the offense to get going.
Although, I don’t see Seattle’s run game yet back to abusing opponents on the ground, which is what I want to see most, I measure Seattles chances of advancing deep in playoffs by what we see in this regular season. Habits. I think the run game is very important towards being able to beat playoff teams. Seattle beat Atlanta, and they should have. Seattle beat Houston and they should. Seattle beat Minnesota and they should. Seattle beat Arizona, and they should. Seattle beat Pittsburgh, and they should. Without Daniel Jones, Seattle, should dispose of them as well.
However….it is in the games against good divisional opponents that Seattle has struggled with.
The measuring stick should be against good above 500 teams and not be satisfied beating a team you are supposed to beat.
If Seattle can get its running game back and against above 500 teams, then, we will have a real reason to celebrate and even really consider Seattle as legit Super Bowl contenders. With this being said, I agree with the OP, wins are good but style points must matter cause Seattle will not be playing below 500 teams in playoffs.
Believe that!
