Cause the number in the win column went up and the one in the loss column stayed the same. Once I saw that I knew we had won
I thought it was a great sign when we had more points than the other team after the clock hit 0:00 in the 4th quarter. 🙃

It was great that Kubiak was able to make the adjustments in the 2nd half to make the offense more effective.

But if we have first halfs offensively against opponents the way we did against the Falcons, we're going to struggle against better teams with better QBs (meaning they will score a lot more than just 6 points)

We can't fully depend on our Defense to basically hold the fort all the time until our offense wakes the f*ck up in the 2nd half.

We also can't depend on Rashid Shaheed having a 100 yard Kickoff return for a TD (which changed the whole tenor of the game) every time.

Next week they will have another opportunity to work out the kinks in the offense against a Daniel Jones-LESS Colts team so we'll see what happens.
I will say although there are posters that are content that a win is a win and they don’t care about style points, how a team wins or loses makes a difference to me. I want to see a total balance game without it taking so long for the offense to get going.

Although, I don’t see Seattle’s run game yet back to abusing opponents on the ground, which is what I want to see most, I measure Seattles chances of advancing deep in playoffs by what we see in this regular season. Habits. I think the run game is very important towards being able to beat playoff teams. Seattle beat Atlanta, and they should have. Seattle beat Houston and they should. Seattle beat Minnesota and they should. Seattle beat Arizona, and they should. Seattle beat Pittsburgh, and they should. Without Daniel Jones, Seattle, should dispose of them as well.

However….it is in the games against good divisional opponents that Seattle has struggled with.

The measuring stick should be against good above 500 teams and not be satisfied beating a team you are supposed to beat.

If Seattle can get its running game back and against above 500 teams, then, we will have a real reason to celebrate and even really consider Seattle as legit Super Bowl contenders. With this being said, I agree with the OP, wins are good but style points must matter cause Seattle will not be playing below 500 teams in playoffs.

Believe that!

Hmm. I've been treating this season like the games are really scored like golf and our record is indicated by a Loss-Win figure. It's been a nightmare.

I think the offense will live and die by the extent we can run the ball (duh as always is the case) but whether WR2 and WR3 can get open. Shaheed and hopefully Horton if he comes back soon should help the intermediate passing game and perhaps lessen the extreme attention on JSN.
Dareke young too

And Cody white is very interesting, it seems like he should get more opportunities. Cody white doesn’t always get on the field but when he does he drinks dos equis

If a win really was a win, I feel like we wouldn't need to constantly assure ourselves of it after the fact. We are clearly hiding something.

I love wins good or bad, but I also like to talk about those wins...

I guess the equivalent would be not talking about any positives for games the Hawks lose …? 😂
There are defo 2 camps who will never agree but for me most important thing is the result; you go away and try and fix the things that need fixing. As a fan, I don’t think each game exists in a vacuum. Performances throughout the season have common threads for each team; areas of weakness and strength which can be tweaked or strategised around to some degree. If we as fans want the team to win it all and be competitive at the very highest level, it’s only fair to be concerned with what is looking like the potential sources of the Seahawks falling short. And whilst doing this, can also enjoy the thumping wins when they do click (just in case Soulfish is concerned about the mental status of those of us wired that way!)
It’s a good spot to be in that despite lots of areas of improvement / focus over the past 2 weeks, they have won both games by >50. But us fans are greedy :)

What’s wrong with rope a dope? Play the first half close to your vest and pull out the bag of tricks after halftime when they can’t adjust.

I swear man, if this teams wins the superb.owl some folks are going to come on here and nag about something they didn't do right... 😂
Looking for things they did wrong, or could do better, is how good teams get better. Griping about someone griping is just more griping.

Mike Macdonald's motto is "Chasing Edges".. The only way you can get better is by focusing on your failures..

First half of this game had me wondering why the falcons only have 4 wins. They have excellent pass rush and were holding their own against JSN. They also really looked dangerous on offense. They looked more functional than we did for the first 30 minutes. But our Big Bad D kept bending but not breaking. I really think the other team is completely stressed and overwhelmed trying to overcome our defense, then we get a special teams score and it becomes insurmountable and the flood gates open.
If our offense could have a first half like the cardinals game and a second half like today and our defense just keeps doing what they do every week could this team score a 100?
