It was great that Kubiak was able to make the adjustments in the 2nd half to make the offense more effective.

But if we have first halfs offensively against opponents the way we did against the Falcons, we're going to struggle against better teams with better QBs (meaning they will score a lot more than just 6 points)

We can't fully depend on our Defense to basically hold the fort all the time until our offense wakes the f*ck up in the 2nd half.

We also can't depend on Rashid Shaheed having a 100 yard Kickoff return for a TD (which changed the whole tenor of the game) every time.

Next week they will have another opportunity to work out the kinks in the offense against a Daniel Jones-LESS Colts team so we'll see what happens.

Agreed, By starting faster to me meens, run the ball more than 7 times by running backs in the 1st half... It's a pretty simple plan to protect a struggling QB... crazy to think a "running team" only have 7 attempts in the 1st half... Mike you need to get on Klint now, because it could turn into a Grubb situation real quick..

I think the offense will live and die by the extent we can run the ball (duh as always is the case) but whether WR2 and WR3 can get open. Shaheed and hopefully Horton if he comes back soon should help the intermediate passing game and perhaps lessen the extreme attention on JSN.

First, yes we can count on this defense to destroy good qbs
Second, Atlanta looked really good on defense at first.
Third, we wore them down then took them out back. I’ll take getting better as the game goes on over getting worse any day

We started fast a lot and ended stupid I like this much better.

All defense, one big play, that’s all we need. We don’t need our offense to win it, we need them to not lose it

Two things can be true at the same time:
- 1st half : we ain’t winning it all with an offense that performs like that
- 2nd half : could beat anybody anyplace anytime.

Let’s all just say we love the 2nd half version and want as much of that; with as little of the 1st half version as possible.

The narrative for months was that we needed to be a better 2nd half team, that we couldn’t just coast.

Now it’s that we start slow?

I don’t think either is a trend.

Beating NFL teams is just difficult and rarely all easy

Last two teams were hot garbage as is the next team we play. Lets see what happens vs the Rams.
Too right. There is also a nagging fear in the back of my brain that if they win the next 3 and the number 1 seed is on the line against the 49ers in the finale; Sam reverts to what we have seen in the past few games (2nd half today aside)
