Just exactly what have you seen that is positive from Dre'Mont Jones? He's overpaid and underperforming.

There are others but the guys that are injured get a pass.

Murphy is hurt (hamstring) and is out and has been for the last 3 games. Murphy is a rookie. Do you mean someone else?

Murphy was drafted by JS not by Pete. Murphy is only a DE in a 3-4 as well and was the #1 DT in this year's draft.

DK Metcalf.

Not a bad player, but also prone to making, dumb, bone headed errors. He’s huge and has Olympic athlete levels of speed and hops. Despite that we rarely see him box players out and come down with those big catches that we see from other marquee guys.

The guy has not lived up to his potential.

Has to be Dre’Mont. One of the highest paid players on the team and looks like just another camp body out there. I genuinely can’t recall one splash play he has made. PFF obviously isn’t the final way to assess someone, but he routinely is graded poorly. A guy making that much money at a critical position needs to do more.

DK Metcalf, I swear for every "amazing" play he makes he makes 3 bad ones or is at least involved in one some way shape or fashion, Seriously, how many times have you seen a pass go his way and it's either dropped, fumbled, intercepted or he gets pissed off at the DB covering him and gets a 15 yard penalty. Or how about nearly everytime he is asked to block he gets a holding penalty. Drive Killer Metcalf at his finest, I honestly would rather see half his targets go to JSN and Bobo at this point.

A player not delivering value? Clearly Abe Lucas. Not to be down on a guy that is injured, but like it or not, he isn’t providing any quality to the team currently. If he can come back from injury then he will be earning his money.

Geno is a tough one. I think it is insane to be paying a player of his caliber what he is being paid, but in the scale that is NFL QB pay he is probably right where he belongs. I would just rather give lower pay scale players a chance to prove what they can do and spread the extra money elsewhere than dedicate that money to someone like Geno.

Dre'mont gets a lot of hate around here, but he is the most double teamed person on the defense (I just posted a video in another thread about it). What he brings isn't visable to the eye a lot of the times.

If I had to pick a player it would probably be Noah Fant and i'm just being a stickler because I had to choose somebody. He's getting 2.5 million and its all guaranteed. Not a ton, but nobody on the team has an extravagant contract in my opinion. A lot of rookie contracts right now.

At 1.3 million APY? Injuries suck, but he’s not overpaid for an NFL player at any position.

Don't disagree that Noah Fant is overpaid and underperforming, as is another TE- Pharaoh Brown who is mostly simply invisible.

My sense is we can't complain/grumble much about players who are injured yet some players seem to be injured all the time.

Any player being paid in the top 10 of their position and not playing in the top 10 of their of position. Rinse and repeat for 11-20, 21-30. Injuries taken on a one by one basis.

I don't think it is fair to dump on Geno with this offensive line.

As far as the thread topic I am gonna have to go with Jamal Adams. Although his performance this year has been an improvement on the last couple years, he is still not giving us much for the 20 million he is making

It’s been real easy to blame DK so far this season, or at least the past 3 games but DK has contributed more positive things and plays than most of the defensive players this season.

The defense looks like shit out there.

But Dre’Mont Jones gets my vote…
