Every kicker in the NFL makes their fanbase nervous, except maybe Brandon Aubrey. Jason Myers made 26 out of 30 FG attempts last year, 86.7%, which is better than the league average. His career FG percentage is right around there. We could do a lot worse. (By comparison, Aubrey has made 90% during his 2-year career, but made 84% last year.)
The extent to which watching a FG attempt fills you with anxiety and trepidation (
@AROS), is more a function of your own psyche, and I doubt that it would be fixed by getting a new placekicker.
Chad Ryland, the Cardinals placekicker, which someone on this thread praised, has a career average of 77%, and in 2023 made only 64% of his FG attempts, 16 out of 25. So be careful what you wish for.
