Myers replacement? (speculation)

I'm not pinning this loss on Myers either. The dude hit a 57 yarder earlier and hit all 4 tries before the miss. A 61 yarder is a crap shoot it can't be expected. Turned the ball over 4 times. You'd never guess that by the score and that is not even talking about the fact that they couldn't convert in the RZ to boot.

If crystal ball told us that they'd turn the ball over 4 times, no one would say we would still win. We'll get em' next time.

Why didn't we let Drew lock qb the last⁰quarter?

I don't think the coaches are going to come out of a game where the QB threw 4 interceptions, and fire the kicker who missed a difficult field goal. Feels like scapegoating, and not the message you'd want to send to players.

When your qb throws 3 interceptions and ZERO touchdowns. You give your 2nd string qb the last quarter....he cant do much worse!!!!!!!!

Also, I feel like I'm losing my mind being the only person who seems to have a problem with the part where the guy OP wants to bring in is a serial sexual predator.

First of all, thank you for pointing out that this was created a month ago. Whether they have repeatedly said is Meyers is a good kicker, but when it comes down to making a clutch kick and especially a long clutch kick, he just doesn’t seem to come through. Again, I know he’s a good kicker, but a guy like Tucker would’ve likely won the game today for us.

It's Odd Year Myers. People act as if this hasn't been his MO for his entire career.

That being said, the blocked kick was not on him. Launch angle was fine. Center allowed the defender to elevate and block the kick.

Rams have had an atrocious kicking year. I cringe every time they kick. Games lost on blocked kicks.

Current kicker isn’t even on the 53 roster, he’s been called up from the practice squad two weeks in a row.

Also two weeks in a row, the Rams have blocked kicks of the opponent.

So: Rams might be on a kick blocking rampage and practicing it a lot. McVay said he was going to focus on it.
