My son was at work and Kam happened to come in for some work to be done on his vehicle.

He had seen him before and so felt more at ease in asking one question.

What makes the Seahawks different then the other teams in the league ?

The answer was Russell Wilson, he is always positive, lives to help those around him and others, whether it's in Games, Practice, the locker room, at dinner where ever. What we see and what we don't see is what we get. He went on to say that the Culture is about the Seahawks, not the Defense, the Line Backers or anything else, why it's always Seahawks in the headlines and not about individuals.

The Culture is the Seahawks led by Wilson and Pete. That's it, so simple it probably isn't accepted by many, but you have to reflect, anyone that has made it about themselves in headlines etc doesn't last long. The team doesn't throw them under the bus and takes the high ground and tries to make it work in a positive way in the outcome for the team.

My son also said he looked in great shape and when finished was able to shake his hand.

Cool interaction on a professional and personal level for my son, thought it was a great question to ask as well.

Yessir, that's a nice story and a cool thing for your son. Thanks for the nice post!
I have met quite a number of Seahawk players over the years and have never yet met a single one who wasn't cordial, friendly, and conversive. Cannot say the same for some players of other teams...and I never met Boz. :)

What I thought was cool one he took the time, second he without cameras and prompting went beyond and gave props to Wilson and Pete and the Organization while not being an actual participant anymore doing it with a fan who was just curious as well as coming off as just another person in the situation.

Oh and my son's boss is from Massachusetts also and was aware of the conversation. :)

But Russell isn't black enough!!!
But Russell doesn't get criticized enough!!!!
But Russell is phoney!!!!

Just goes to show that rumors are just that. And while this is still 3rd hand info, it's infinitely more believable than the other rumours that have gone around this place.

Team positivity. You could get that from Russells mic'd up segments last night. Nothing but positive language. He's not tearing down his offense like a certain GOAT QB but trying to lift them up.

I’m jealous of your son Chris. Kam is one of my favorite Seattle sports superstars ever.
Class guy.

I've only met one, Jermmay Stevens. Quite possibly one of the worse human being I've encountered cant believe he has the 1st Seahawks td ever.

I went to middle school which his dad taught PE. A favorite teacher among the students. Really nice and very funny guy RIP. Not sure what happen to his punk ass kid.

I think the experience of meeting Boz would have been a positive one, even back in the day. Boz was a "character" that Brian Bosworth created and marketed for public consumption. Similar to the way Sherman marketed himself.

All the reports I ever read about Bosworth as a teammate and player were positive, hard worker, smart, team-oriented guy, probably would've been a great fit on a Pete Carroll team. However, his body couldn't hold up to the pounding of the NFL. He was only a "bust" because of that issue. People forget he was the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after a game with the Chicago Bears. Did you hear different about Boz from any of your convos with other actual Seahawks players who were actually around him?

Just curious, don't want to take the focus of this thread too much off Kam and hearing this awesome account of that interaction.

Interesting but there were probably more than 100 Seahawks that scored TDS before Stevens.

Nope, those 100 TDs by Largent never happened.

Chris cool story! Kam never seemed jealous of Russ like a lot of the other players on the team. Always loved his approach and easily one of my favorite Seahawk players ever.
