MVS is solid, scrappy and deceptively fast in the open field. MVS with JSN makes for a nice 1-2 combo and with Bobo as the third that is a strong 1-2-3 trio. The one main issue with the current WRs is that you really need a big guy to win jump balls downfield and that is not on the roster right now. That is why people are saying Higgins in many threads on the draft forums and on the main forums.

Higgins would fit in nicely with JSN and MVS as the flanker.

'Up to $5.5M' means his 2025 cap hit is likely $3.9M to $4.5M... somewhere in there is my guess. Looks to be the going rate for a veteran WR on a one-year deal in 2025.

It really is a Meh signing though Soul. He's a solid #3, but there's a million of him out there. Team needs WR's so it's a good signing, but let's not pretend he's somebody special.

The team needed a vet WR, they got one. On a ONE year prove it deal. As a Hawks fan you should know that one year deals have worked out several times over the years. IF it doesn't work out, cool, you don't have a long-term commitment. IF he balls out, give him a new deal.

My point being is that the constant whining if they don't go get Justin Jefferson, Walter Jones or Aaron Donald on day 1.
EVERY time we sign someone, it's IMMEDIATE whining. Just gets old, that's all.

And who said he's special? I'm just saying they needed a vet WR, they got one. They have a need, they addressed it. Not EVERY signing has to be a Future HOF or All Pro. FFS, I love you guys but you drive me insane.

He isn't a great WR overall. That's why he is a free agent signing for 5.5 mill tops.
He does bring what this team really needs though and that's size with elite speed.
He isn't DK but that's fine. Safeties will have to account for him and that's important.

He's a 30 year old journeyman receiver that's averaged 3 TD's per season in his career. Meh seems like a pretty reasonable reaction.

Sign someone worth getting excited about and I'll get excited.
