No doubt. 14 win team likely playing a road game. 10 win team missing the playoffs. It's a trip.
One year the Pats went 11-5 and missed the playoffs. 10 Wins is damn solid vs. pre-season predictions for many, including myself.
Nothing to shake a stick at for sure. Let's beat the crap out of these guys on Sunday.
Agreed

10 wins (maybe), but 1 loss to the 3-13 Giants. You have to wins the games you're supposed to win. None of the 3 in the Giants win column are playoff teams. ...and a 6 pt showing against 4-12 Bears.

There is need for drastic change in places on the team. A single game, and loss, in the playoffs has been a justification to refrain from making change in the past. Missing the playoffs has (not consistently, but at times) encouraged change. No one hopes to narrowly miss the playoffs, but it might be an agent of improvement the Offense needs.

Do you remember the last time we missed the playoffs with ten wins? I do. It was 1986. We beat both SB teams and were 5-6. Then we went on a tear and ended 10-6 the hottest team in the league. Cincy went instead of us.

Play to win. Not sure how this is even a discussion (as far as better draft pick or win etc.)
I like the topic though.

That loss to the Giants has made a real difference in the end result of the season. As was said earlier here you need to win the games you are supposed to win. Plus a few others.

Sure hope it’s ten wins even if the Rams say they are not going to play all their starters,.just want that undefeated recent streak to end for them.

I read that the future plan is for,

Only two pre-season games.
18 game regular season with two bye weeks.
One of the 18 games, to be either an International game or played in a non NFL city.
The Play-offs to be pushed back a week. The Super Bowl to be in the third week of February.
I don't know, it's already pretty far into Febrauary. I'm old enough to remember when it was January 23rdish some years. I agree that 18 games is better than 17. 17 is borderline stupid...half the teams are at a disadvantage since they have nine away games, and it gets even more convoluted with the dumb foreign games...

Not beating any legitimate contenders and a 3-6 home record didn’t help either.
