Figuratively shaking my head at most of these responses.

Rob only caught passes when the defenses ignored him and he was wide open. Seattle's offense is supposed to be more dynamic this year. You don't get more dynamic by having a traditional FB on the field. If he was in on 31% of the snaps last year, I expect that number to drop even more this year if he was on the team.

Probably one of the only posts in 7 pages I agree with. Thank you.

Really really bad move.

This is one of those moves we look back on if we fail to reach the SB and say "What if?"

Not as bad as the Hutch trade but probably not far off in impact.

We have a run first team. To get rid of your probowl FB who not only was great at opening holes for the run game, but also did a good job at chipping the speed rushers to keep the QB safe, and presented a sure handed dump-off guy when your QB was under pressure - where is the logic in that?

If this team fails to win it all, we might just look back at this and point to this cut and the Harvin signing that likely forced it, as the two largest contributing factors. That isn't hyperbole.

Please don't tell me we're trading Hutch?? Just kiddin' bro but apples to apples and all that. I love MRob, but his departure won't hold a candle to the loss of Hutch. You know that, I'm just reminding you.

An amazing amount of crying going on.

Man I hate to think what is going to happen down the road when our more important players wanna be paid but we let them walk.

Days and times like these make me embarrassed of the fans. Imagine a Pats fan for example comes in and reads the level of whine here.... probably just sits back and laughs. ZERO foresight here on the part of the 12th man in general. :177692: :34853_doh:

You've been doing a lot of judge, jury, executioner on fan responses and reactions. I'm a little embarrassed for all those Pats fans that have to come here and be subjected to it.

The Pats still have Tebow on the roster. That's embarrassing enough.

I have a sneaking suspicion that 80% of the posts from people upset about this move are more correlated with the ending of the RRR than MRob's playing ability. Yes, he was good, but I feel like many people are overreacting. This is Russell Wilson's team; MRob's "leadership" should be considered a non-factor in this equation. It seems a lot of you are too emotionally invested in the team -- rightfully so, as fans; this was a business move, which sucks, but it's for the betterment of the team.

The worst part is the way they did it. Like nobody is going to notice, or it's just going to blow over? And NOTHING on Seahawks.com. Do they know how much the 12th man liked this guy?

There's nothing on Seahawks.com because the move technically has not been made yet. Robinson has been notified but the cuts aren't official until they are turned into the league tomorrow, and the website never has anything about players who are signed and released until the move is official. I'm guessing we will see a lot of stuff on .com tomorrow.

Of the 31% of offensive plays MRob saw last year, how many came the last 6-8 games when the reins were taken off RW?

Mack Strong opened holes everywhere for Alexander. Lynch did most of it on his own. Robinson was no Mack IMO.

Embarrassed that fans feel deep connections to quality players who have displayed leadership and sacrifice, even during the lean years . . . Embarrassed that fans exhibit strong emotions regarding the decisions of their teams . . . Embarrassed that fans will miss a guy who brought them in to the locker room in a way that no other fan base has had access.

I see no reason to be embarrassed by passionate fans being passionate. It says something about the connection this fan base has to this team.

Ton of overreaction on both sides. Sucks he's gone. Also makes some sense. I was worried about locker room implications until I realized that Sherman, ET, Okung, and Chancellor will stand up for this move.

When a healthy Harvin comes back, add Rice and Tate plus Miller to the mix, this team will be running a lot of 3 WR sets to get them all on the field. Rob just will see less snaps.
Love him as a player and a person, hate to see him go but I fully understand the situate

The loss of Hutch killed our running game. Suddenly Alexander became mortal, not because he was old but because he could no longer just run behind two guys that had the impact of someone driving a couple of minvans through the opposing d-line.

Things are very different now but we absolutely depend on the run. We use the run to set up the pass and frankly I am mystified how we think we are going to get the same production from the run game now.

A good run game depends on good blocking from your TEs and your FB first. We are thin at TE, so if one goes down we are in real trouble. Now we are relying on FBs with little or no experience in real games to offset that? Lynch is a stud but he still is going to need help keeping linebackers off him.

You don't think that might affect the running game?

Anyway is anyone else excited for the possibility of Derrick Coleman making the team and tearing the league up?

I may be the biggest Coleman fan on these boards. I want him on the team over Ware, and there aren't many in that corner. I've even said he reminds me of Robinson who spent much of his career until recently as a sub-standard blocker whose multiple talents got him a roster spot.

But the bottom line is that the compete mantra was not followed. Neither Coleman or Ware made Robinson expendable. They just aren't that good yet.

I'm just bummed about losing the Real Rob Report. We're gonna be in the SuperBowl soon and it would have been amazing to see that happen behind the scenes. Literally no other fan base has ever had that experience with a championship team.

If Mike Rob can't find a job and won't take a pay cut, the team should hire him to keep producing the show. I believe it created an amazing connection with the fans. The official organization has never had that connection with any other media or marketing campaigns.

Yeah it sounds ridiculous but I'd do it if I was Paul Allen. I'd offer the guy a few million per year to just keep pumping out episodes, ask him to make it a one hour show, and give the fans something no other team has. What better way to show love to the 12s. And if we did go to a SuperBowl, I'd give him a ring. Make him part of the team.

Mrob should be the 12th Man Ambassador.

Why didn't he play at all in the preseason? (at least I didn't see/hear of him playing)

This is one of those moves where we lose a popular vet for the sake of a couple of younger cheaper kids with potential. We were warned years ago that moves like this would be coming. Now that one is actually here, it fricken sucks and stings like hell... but it's for the greater good. I still have faith in the brain trust. They know what they're doing.

Hell... MRob could even be BACK in a few weeks if he can't get a big money deal somewhere else. I love MRob and I APPRECIATE fullbacks (having been one), but this isn't anything to commit holy sepuku over. we shall survive.

....and yes, I'm mostly upset because RRR is leaving town. I'm man enough to admit that.

We all knew we were going to lose some important players. This sucks but this is how the NFL is.We are up against the cap with 8 or 9 players starting or playing key roles earning under 1 mil. When these contracts start coming up they are gonna have to have to make painful cuts.More painful than this one unfortunately.
