Terrell is good on special teams and he has the speed to replicate what Thomas can do. Problem is, he doesn't have Earl's instincts. Not really Terrell's fault as not many safeties do.

Earl is the only one with his instincts, which is what makes him the best in the NFL. To try and compare Terrell or any other safety with him isn't fair.

They would have to significantly change their scheme to play McCray at FS. He doesn't have the range to play single high.

Tyvis Powell came out early with a year of eligibility left. He was inactive last week and has been active for only 6 out of 11 games this year. All 76 of his snaps have been with special teams. He has yet to see a snap on defense.

His presence on the regular roster is likely an example of loss avoidance to another team. To me, he looks like a two or three year project.

This is Steven Terrell coming out game. We have seen him rise to the occasion coming off the bench. Sunday, we will see his debut as a starter. Winston/Evans will most certainly test him tomorrow so we'll find out if he can make it with the LOB or if he's just a special team contributor.

I hope he makes the most of his opportunity, if he does well it makes the team stronger.
