According to Rapoport, The Panthers were also in deep talks with the Los Angeles Rams. Friggin Rams almost did it again. SMH.

Rams' only significant picks of next year are a 2nd and 3rd, then a steep drop to the 6th round. I almost wish they would've gotten McCaffrey, I'm not sure that would be enough for them to right the ship and they'd be screwed with almost no draft picks and a huge bill next year for a RB.

The Niners are boned. This is an amazing trade for the Seahawks and they aren't even involved in the deal.

The 49ers offense has been figured out, and they desperately needed a new wrinkle. McCaffrey can help Shanny with his screen pass offense, because that's all he calls these days.

I speculate that Shanny pushed for this as it screams nepotism. (Ed McCaffrey played for Mike Shanahan.) It's crazy to think that Christian McCaffrey is worth half a draft at this point. To go along with all they gave up for Trey Lance, this spells the end of the 49ers after this season for years to come.

And who knows it might be this year? They are already off to a roaring start on the injury front, and CMC isn't exactly a player that consistently stays healthy year in and year out.

He is a great fit for their system. He can move the chains for them on 3rd down, but he is also a home run threat like Deebo.

If they can get everybody healthy for the playoffs, I think they could give the Eagles a real fight.

Yeah I still don’t see them making the playoffs. They’ve played the easiest part of their schedule and came out 3-3 like everyone else in the division so right now it’s still a crapshoot in the NFC West.
