Some people always gotta be bitching about something.
I'm not bitching at all. I'm just pointing out he's overhyped. Just like when Matt Flynn had a couple good games and parlayed it into a contract.
I couldn't give two sh*** about Milton.

It's very obvious this thread wasn't created because someone liked Milton. It's because someone wanted to bitch about the Howell trade AGAIN.
I was very much in favor of the Howell trade. Literally the same day we made that deal, I brought him up on here as someone I thought could be a great "buy low" candidate. I started this thread because Milton has been brought up often as a trade target and I thought people would be interested to hear that he went for less than many were suggesting. Including me, and I wasn't even a fan of making such a move.

I still think Flynn was a good gamble and a far more defensible signing than it's remembered, but I'll at least give you credit for saying "a couple good games" rather than "one good game". Drive me crazy when people do that.

I like what I have seen little of Milton. If he sticks around he might become a solid backup/spot starter at some point. Dallas is definitely thinking about like after Dak in a few years.

Why does the Cowboys kid look like he's ready to cry?

You make a good point. Then again, this is dot net. That's what people do more than anything, Complain and moan. We didn't do this, we should have done this, everything sucks, blah blah blah.
Ok, this seems like an unnecessary shot. You know I was big time in favor of the Howell trade.

Again: I didn't make this thread to whine about the front office. You can look at the other Milton threads and you'll see comments from me advocating against making a move for him. This is a slow time of year, Milton has commonly been mentioned on here as a desired target, and when I saw he had been traded, I thought others would find the news interesting. I found it interesting because I was wrong about how highly I thought the Patriots would still be valuing him.

Kind of don't appreciate words and intentions being put in my mouth. I just passed on news I thought might lead to some decent discussion. We can only talk about the OL so many times.

It's sarcasm, that's all it was. And you're reading WAY too much into it. I was just making a joke about the negative vibe. And I've said several times I'm here for it. Not that big of a deal, certainly not calling you out. The negativity on this site is legendary, and that's fine. Makes it entertaining. If I was taking a shot, I would just tell you. Sorry man ✌️

Never apologize for taking a hammer stapler to someone's nuts and they can't figure out why they can't stand up without an explanation :)

I absolutely do whine about stupid crap sometimes, I just think those criticisms are better served in the threads where I'm actually doing that. If my intention with this thread was to rip the front office, I would have tailored it in a way where I could have posted it in the main forum.

That fifth rounder is a compensatory pick too.

Not only is that less than we traded for Sam Howell, it's less than the Cowboys traded for Trey Lance last year.

Well yes - they are trading for a guy who has a single start, in a meaningless game against backups, vs a guy who started every game in the season prior, and a guy who was the 3rd overall pick.
