If some angel had offered me two out of three from the Astros without playing the series...I would have taken it. This is house money to me now...dancing on the roof if we win...okay if we don't...

It's really kinda funny how Cal hits two homers to tie Griffey's record and Canzone is the MVP of the game, and then a few nights later, Cal breaks Griffey's record and Robles' game ending catch/DP is what sticks out in my mind.
Lot of runs tonight on small ball. Get 'em on, move 'em over, bring 'em home. Stealing bases early to rattle Framber and then hitting them home. Loving it!

Watched Robles' catch some 20x and am still in awe. It's inevitable the count will reach well over a hundred, and I know I'll never tire of it.
The MLB season is so long even losing teams can grab enough highlights for advertising for tix. That is one for the ages. Close to The Double in meaning.

It was a Ron Swoboda-like catch for the Miracle Mets in 1969, only he didn't double up the outs.

The look on the runners face running around third base when he realized he was just doubled up...

That was the play of the season for sure. Grown-man stuff.

Was watching the plays on MLB.com at work, very happy to come home to this result.

I'd been saying for a while I thought the Astros could only stay ahead of their injury sitch for so long, and today it caught up. Kirby with another brilliant sixth-inning stand. Nice little sub of Canzone to net us another run.

Plus...Cal makes history. We love our Cal.

Geno had better stay hot. Randy's in a slump too and this is not the time.

Will be interesting to see the Stros body language tomorrow when they take the field, knowing that the Mariners have officially passed them as best in the Division on the field.

Canzone didn't play the first 60 games of the year he had only 3 AB's total. Replacing Taveras with Canzone has worked beautifully. This line up used to have Tellez, Taveras, Williamson and Young.
I wonder if it was Edgar/Seitzer who re-structured the line up. All the moves have worked out.
Omg, I'd forgotten all about Leodys Taveras. What a sad lineup that was back in May.

Now have won 13 out of the last 14 games, with 7 games left to play.
