Rangers win. Astros up 6-0 in the 3rd. Looks like we might have to win again tonight just to keep pace with our division rivals.

So frustrating…they win we win, they lose we lose. Woo going tonight so let’s go, keep pace.

This is going down to the wire

I get so mutha%##@ing sick of this 95-100 pitch count thing. I watched pitchers go 120 all the time growing up with largely four man rotations.

We're fighting for the effing division.

That era ended 25 years ago. Starting pitchers rarely go 120 anymore, and certainly don't do it regularly.

Honestly, I really don't get the obsession with the pitch count. Things change. This is how it is nowadays.

I get that. But when a pitcher is whiffing people down in the middle of a late season divisional race, think outside the box. What would people have thought if we gave up one, two, three runs there in the 7th without Woo or our very best relievers out there?

Sure, and what would people have thought if they left Woo in well past 100 pitches and he gave up a couple runs?

These guys aren't used to going that deep, and we're nearing the end of a very long season. I really don't think now is the time to see what happens if you leave him in significantly longer than what he's used to.

Another solid win. Woo with 6 innings. Bullpen gives up one run, but still sealed the deal.

Naylor with a clutch 2 RBI single to add the final runs.

Still in just win mode, loving it. Keeping pace with the Texas teams. I believe we have the tie breaker on both of them.

8 game win streak at the right time in the season.

I have this growing fear that our season ends Game 7 of the World Series, down three, bottom of the ninth, two outs, bases loaded, and Julio strikes out.
Wait, did you say "World Series"? Whoo hoo! In the bottom of the ninth, I hope the Ms just run it in and don't try to get cute with a pass attempt. Oh wait, I think I have my balls mixed up.

13 games to go. Hard to tell what it's going to take, but they'll just have keep winning. With the Astros and Rangers playing like they are, even winning 8 out of 13 might not be enough.

The series with the Astros will be critical. Losing that series most likely means finishing out of the playoffs. The Astros and Rangers, however, do have a series coming up, and so that series will at least damage one of those two teams.

The Mariners do play a series with the Royals, a .500 team, and a series with the Rockies, the worst team in the majors. But they finish the season against the Dodgers, who are in a tight battle with the Padres for the NL West.

With the Blue Jays pulling away from the Yankees and Red Sox, this battle in the AL West is the most exciting in MLB. I think it's going to go down to the wire, and it's not going to be resolved until the very end.
