I'll go back to ignoring them until the playoffs, and hope that simply checking the standings doesn't activate the usual jinx. Of course, the usual jinx was in July, but since it's already mid-September, maybe the jinx has been broken? Or maybe they're just better this year?

Yeah, they look like they are playing pissed, all while being calm, no matter what the score. When they are locked in, pretty damn hard team to beat. Steaky, for sure, but most teams are. I'm pleasantly shocked they are here and man this is fun.

I haven't seen anything about "magic number" stuff. I saw someone claiming 6 more wins gets us in. Another person said the magic number is 8, but w/no details, I'll wait for something more official. Likely will come by around Sunday or Monday.

It's 8 I think but keeps going down if Texas loses too. I'd like to see Texas win the next 2 though against Houston to give us some cushion before we play Houston in the division race. We're 4 games up on Texas but essentially 5 due to holding the tie breaker.
