Great way to start the series and the road trip.

Pitching was good (not great) except for Jackson. I was good pulling Gilbert after 90 chucks since it was 80 degrees with 75% humidity out there. Bullpen, other than Jackson, was serviceable. Hancock is looking good in short relief.

Cal setting more records tying Griffey for most homers by a Mariner.

Canzone! 5-5 with 3 HR. Can't argue with that shit.

Polo with 13 game hit streak. No extra base hits so the doubles streak ends at 9.

You talking about me? I certainly WANT the M's to win a World Series. But being kicked in the nuts for 50 years leaves you wearing a cup and still covering your balls with both hands when the reckoning arrives.

The other countdown is the 30/30 for Randy and Julio. Randy needs 3 more HRs and 2 more stolen bases to reach 30. Julio already has 30 HRs but need 3 more stolen bases to get to 30. (Cal only has 14 stolen bases, so he's not getting to 30. And I don't want to see Cal try to steal any more bases and potentially hurt himself.)

Two teams have had two 30/30 players, the 1987 Mets and the 1996 Rockies. The 2024 Mets came close, but Lindor only had 29 steals.
