They showed a graphic. His walk rate is up a bit. He needs to just get some singles. It's like he has no timing at all.

Maybe he needs a rehab stint in the minors or something.

He looks completely, utterly lost at the plate. Thank god ball 4 was like 2 feet out of the zone, because if it was only a foot out of the zone he would have swung at it.

Pitching duel all the way and the better staff won.

Miller with a gem 7IP/2H/0R/9K/0BB.

Munoz struggles a bit but pulls it out in the end.

Completed the sweep. Some concerns about Julio and Roz. Julio hit in the head with a thrown ball leaves with some concern of concussion I presume. Roz hit on the arm. Looked like a real charlie horse creator to his throwing arm.

Hopefully, Dan has some comments to clarify the injury sitch.

2 hits, but the winning RBI comes on a Cal bases loaded walk.

The Mariners are the only team in the league that could win the World Series and bore the snot out of everyone doing it.

99% of the time that's a loss. How the offense is this bad with Edgar and Seitzer in the dugout is so cringe. Why the F have they not called Pereda back up? Not a serious franchise.

Change the record man.
cringe af liq post tbh.

it's July now we know what the team is, we know these guys arent scoring. Texas has changed their line up a lot looks like their hitting coach Bret Boone is out there playing chess while the M's are playing checkers. Every major offensive stat Ms are around 25th in the league. Each month they've gotten worse in all main offensive stats. Changes need to be made. Simple as.
this should be the line up but the M's won't do it :
JP
Randy
Canzone
Julio
Naylor
Pereda
Cal
Young
Emerson

They should have another righty in the line up though. I didnt even put Raley in there but he's another lefty. When Donovan comes back that's *another* lefty to fit in. What are they going to do? He's not a third baseman either. This sh*t doesn't even make sense.
Without Cals dingers, this team is absolutely F'd. Simple as.

With all the injuries and Cal forgetting how to hit, I'd say it's
impressive that they have done this well.

Bryce Miller has gotten a grand total of 2 runs of support in his last 3 starts combined.

Our starting pitchers are getting Felix'd again. And yes, I know this is normal for this franchise, but it's still disappointing to see this crap continue to plague this team.

Side note. It's also yet another example in a very long list of examples of why W/L record for starting pitchers in baseball is one of the most meaningless, worthless stats in sports.

Keep hearing records/wins/losses don’t matter and are overrated…just to be clear the team with the most wins in a division wins said division. So not following that logic…

I said earlier we’re a team with no identity. We have near identical records year after year. That’s the point. Regardless of Cal, Julio, Nailz…pitching, defense, hitting, the ballpark…excuses for everything.

Get an identity and manage/coach to it, we are completely lost and it’s nothing new.

If you're referring to my post, I did not say the team's record doesn't matter. I said W/L records for starting pitchers is a worthless, meaningless stat. Really good pitchers often have poor to mediocre W/L records if they're on a team with a bad offense (ie Felix). W/L records should never be attributed to individual players in any team sport. It's just dumb.

Yep. Speaking of Felix, look at his win loss record when he got the Cy. Felix legit had the WORST run support in the history of baseball.
