Not sure I’ve seen a worst defensive team. The error on Santana and Beckham are about as routine as it gets. It’s windy and sunny, but you got to make those catches.

Actually the main reason if they lose this that they have lost 2 of the 3 games. The defense costs them runs.

You have to hope as the bats slow down the defense picks up.

Healy has looked good at 3rd today at least

Holy crap, and just like that we are tied at 6
This team NEVER gives up. I'm listening at work, but it sounds like they looked sluggish. LOVE that Hanigar has had the huge hit in the 9th in back to back games. Huge.

Hamilton probably should have caught that, feels nice to know we aren’t the only team that can screw it up in the field.

This offense is amazing rn. Wow!!! Never say never. The 10am start made them sluggish.

And yet ANOTHER clutch home run. Don't care if it's early or not, this is not the same old Mariners imo. Something different about this team. No give up at all. Tell a team what they CAN'T do and they can do great things.
Kind of reminds me of a local football team.

I thought he should have caught it, looked like it hit him right on the glove. Especially with how great of a fielder Hamilton is, that play is probably pretty routine for him.

Vogelbomb for the lead.

It’s a little similar to the Seahawks. Got rid of a bunch of the older guys, got rid of possibly some weak attitudes, and now it’s a bunch of young and hungry kids mixed with some new older players. Would not shock me that Cano was a big reason for the Mariners struggles down the stretch. We went on our big run without him, and once he came back the team started losing.

Finally they are really fun to watch. Especially because they are playing loose, with a chip and with the belief that they are never out of it. Couldn't have been more wrong about this team. Hope that continues :irishdrinkers:

The Mariners are living proof that all you need to do to win baseball games is hit baseballs. Defense? What defense? Ace starting pitchers? Hardly.

That said, Sadzeck and Brennan look like they're real talents in the bullpen. Perhaps the 'pen is more of a strength than we realized?

If the defense and bullpen settle down, this team can hang with anyone.

Well, the thing is that the bullpen is mostly unproven. Lots of guys without much experience. Now, 6 different guys with a save. :2thumbs:

I heard the other day that Tuivailala might be back in June. IIRC he was a comer last year.
