Anyone consider the camp is quiet because of all the drama in the offseason? Seems like there is a concerted effort to restore an edge to the group

Or Malik's face was dipped in acid and now wears Joker makeup

It's possible but I expect him to miss the entire season at this point best case scenario. It isn't normal to be so closed mouthed about the situation.

Maybe.. I just find the very specific assumptions about this incident in the thread strange.

I guess we'll nickname him "scarface" and hope he comes back with something to prove.

I understand your view completely. I just don't understand why they're being so evasive. It points to seriously bad news.

We're now at a week. They're being pretty secretive about ifedi and Clark as well. I don't remember injuries being held so close to the vest in the past.

I don't feel entitled to info on the injuries, I just want it :x

Totally could have, and should have, made a "Say hello to my lil' friend reference."

The Seahawks have the opportunity to sit him for the season, allow him to learn the mental side of the game and to be a professional, without burning a year of his entry level contract... if it looks like he'll be out for half the year or more, I wouldn't be surprised to see them do that.

Take the year off and get your face together.

He is just going to have to face it and put on a new face for the team.

I would agree but they aren't saying anything.

Really dissapointing if this ends up being the case. This team as currently constructed has a window that is closing. Now not on the franchise as a whole. When you have a franchise QB your always going to be in it.

But some really tough decisions are coming. Sherman, Earl are the first two.....

We also have them both for 2 more years. May be better off seeing how they play the next 2 years.
Earl putting out the retirement tweet, tells you it at least crosses his mind, throw in the off year after 2014 SB injury he had (2015), and it may be better to let them play out.

In his presser, when asked about Malik playing in 2017, Pete said it would be 'a lot to ask'. Family wants discretion, one of the reasons for no real details.

This pretty much confirms, to me, he is done for the year.

Him not staying and learning in meetings and watching practices hints at a strong possibility that the Seahawks may sit him the whole year and basically defer his contract til next season. This is obviously still speculation and to be clear there are no facts to back this up, but IMO it's looking more like the more reasonable scenario everyday.
