MM has bigger things to worry about than opinions about Geno Smith.

Tweet. OT! 15 yard penalty and loss of down!

They tried to write me off but this years tax code excludes this type of write off on their tax return. This could lead to an irs audit and subsequent fines.

Now that's a burn against haters as well as educational.

The "didn't write back" phrase really grinds my gears. It makes zero sense. If anything it should be "they wrote me off, but I wrote them back".
Yeah, it does sound kinda stupid without context, but it was representative of something I love in sports: it was a humorous, endearing moment from an underdog player who was finally bearing the fruits of his lifetime of hard work, after nearly a decade of a frustratingly disappointing professional career where he had been best known as the guy who got punched in the jaw by his own teammate. Even his rival fans were happy for him in that moment.

Although to be fair, nobody whose predecessor was Russell Wilson is going to sound THAT corny. It was a double-edged sword: Geno had big shoes to fill, but the city had also become jaded on a guy who became ultra-manufactured to the point where he almost didn't seem like a real person anymore.
