Looks like michael brooks cleared waivers and has been added to our practice squad.

I thought he did alright on his few opportunities during the Falcons game. Glad he is on our PS.

Love this dude, he could end up replacing Clinton McDonald if he goes back to his mediocre ways. Clinton can be a beast in the middle when he really wants to be but I question his motor sometimes.

This little game they are playing with Brooks reminds me a little bit of Jermaine Kearse last year. Sure, the drops were a major problem out of college, but I think a lot of people recognized that his hands were the only thing holding him back from being an NFL starter. He looked pretty good at times last season and yet he lasted on our PS. DeShawn Shead is another guy. Very good CB/S hybrid that somehow didn't get picked up during the cuts, I guess because he was lost in the shuffle with all the quality corners we had in August. I think he's basically as good a corner as Blackmon was, but younger, more versatile and under team control (cheaper) for longer. I'm still shocked he's lasted on our PS.

It's kind of felt like we've had a 55 man roster this year with Shead and Brooks lasting on the PS. Both seem likely to be fixtures on the team in 2014 and beyond, IMO.

Brooks looked pretty good for a practice squad player and i think another year around the seahawks hopefully makes a difference.

What do you guys think about Chandler Fenner (CB) or Ricardo Lockette (WR)?

I got to meet them Tuesday because they came to my daughter's elementary school to do a Play 60 assembly. Really nice guys, got lots of pics with them!

Nice pictures. I wished the team had rewarded the school with a named player but appreciate that they took the time to recognize the school and kids for their outstanding video and support.

I wonder why they didn't wait till the BYE week then had more players go out there like Russ and Sherm. I think those kids deserved it.

Regardless, the kids had a great time. It's all they've talked about all week! However, I honestly think the faculty and staff were more excited. The women were downright giddy and pawing all over those Hawks, it was funny to watch.

My daughter is a superstar in that school now that her dad brought the Seahawks to town!!!

That's the main thing. The kids were excited. Yeah, I noticed the faculty hamming it up with the players. Heck, they are Seahawks fans so kudos to them. Good one on you to help make this happen. Wasn't trying to minimize that accomplishment. Good job!
