Lynch's TD play in NFCCG

Please forgive me if this is a dumb question... I understand the basics of football, but I'm no expert. But this is really bugging me, and I haven't seen any mention or explanation anywhere about what happened...

Right after Lynch scored his touchdown today, he shook his head, and waved his hand back and forth as if to say “No, no.” And just before he crossed the goal-line, he kind of slowed down (and ended up practically walking over the goal-line) and was looking back, as if he’d seen or done something that (he thought) nullified the play. Also, right after that, I saw Wilson talking to an Official in a rather intense exchange. It all gave me the impression that something had happened, something bad. I kept waiting for someone to say that the touchdown was going to go under review. But nothing was said about it, neither by the commentators nor the officials. Didn't anyone else notice this? Can anyone tell me what that was all about? It sure was weird.

That's how he likes to score. Wilson was talking to the official about where they wanted the ball placed for the 2 point conversion attempt.

Exactly. Lynch likes to make a statement walking across the end zone line and looking back in defiance. Stares down the defenders. He Does this frequently.

It looked RW was telling the ref they wanted the ball placed on the left hash mark for the 2-point conversion.

Okay, thanks for the explanations. One question remains for me. Why did he put his hand on Baldwin's chest (when Baldwin ran up to give him a hug) and wave his hand like "No."? Do you think it was just to indicate that he didn't want Baldwin to hug him? (Maybe tummy trouble again?)

He only likes to shake hands after he scores.

No, Lynch just shakes hands afterwards. It looks like Baldwin wanted to celebrate a little more. For Lynch it is just a "job well done" and he shakes hands with everyone and goes on with his business.

He also gave the requisite crotch grab while backing into the endzone.

I read something, granted it was on bleacherreport I think, that he did something explicit in that play and would be fined. If I find the link I'll post it. I didn't see anything wrong with what he did though.

Yeah, he did the "hold mah dick" move again. Maybe because of the whole golden shoe thing. Regardless, it was dumb.

I wonder how Super Bowl media day's going to go this year. :/

Loved how the TV coverage showed Lynch dancing non-chalantly on the sidelines chill as hell, late in the game, just before the Seahawks' comeback avalanche started.

I remember that too. He was way more relaxed than I was.

I think it relates to his back problems. No sense in subjecting it to unecessary abuse, from the weight of a falling player in full gear.
