Lynch and Rodgers

Marshawn bear hugs his former teamate at Cal, Aaron Rodgers. Made me like Rodgers a little more. Why can't Marshawn do this on RRR?

I used to think that Rodgers and Favre didn't get along because Favre is an egomaniacal creep and Rodgers was cool and couldn't stand the guy's ego. Then I realized they were just both egomaniacal creeps.

The fact that Rodgers was best buddies with Ryan Braun tells me a lot about the guy. Braun is an insufferable jerk. He was well before his steroid issue even came up. But Rodgers was his buddy. Now Rodgers can't distance himself fast enough. He's completely thrown Braun under the bus. With friends like that....

Rodgers getting stiffed in the draft made me feel bad for the guy. Now I just think it's funny, because he acted the same way after the game last year. Just a snob. Plus he looks like Ryan from the Office, who is also an arrogant little clown, which probably makes me project that onto Rodgers.

Marshawn is obviously a character with a healthy sense of humor. Fact is he is also rather smart. He made some juvenile mistakes like many of us, only difference is the media beat that horse into a pulp. It's a fool me once type deal. It's a shame because you can tell he's got a fun personality, but I do understand. I wouldn't trust the media either, they have the power to paint you any way they want to. While the real rob report is not your average media outfit, the fans can still stay stupid shit about him if he says or does something that some of us don't approve of. The man has no obligation to deal with the judgement of haters, and the douches in the audience are the reason why he chooses not to.

Ever since the 60 minutes article on Rodgers' insecurity and his fittingly insecure reaction to it, things haven't been the same. He went from a god among QBs to a guy who is now open season for character assassination, where every thing he does is over-scrutinized and over examined and made too big a deal out of. Rodgers is aloof, and he's insecure, and petty, and he might not be warm and fuzzy all the time to everyone, and he might be a bit of an introvert. But in my opinion, those things don't merit the "cool to hate" label that suddenly became part of the popular culture groupthink in regards to Rodgers. His flaws are simply common elements of the human condition, basically we are hating on him because he isn't an awesome person. I think that's silly. Not everyone can be a perfect person like our QB.

I think it's kind of funny how both Baseball and the NFL have an A-Rod that is a major source of criticism and defamation right now.

Aaron Rodgers would be the perfect Pete Carroll Seahawk. He has a major chip on his shoulder, he's athletic, he has a cannon for an arm. About the only thing he would have to do is learn to protect the ball a bit better. In my opinion, he's the best QB in football, until Russell Wilson gets a bit more experience.

I think most Seahawk fans dislike him because he wasn't gracious in defeat.

I like the fact that he seemed genuinely amused by being greeted by Marshawn.

I'm also convinced that MRob's and Marshal's shtick on RRR is just that, a shtick. A pretty funny one at that.

Im almost positive its this. I know in 2011 on the RRR, he was more vibrant on the report. He got in some PR trouble that year (in house, not league trouble), and I believe he was told to not to put himself out there without consultation.. I think him and MRob decided to run with the schtick on RRR for 2012. I like it.

I have noticed too, that Lynch seems to be the only player that the Media respects their distance. Per the NFL, Players after a game must be available for interview from media. Lynch hates (or was told not too) being interviewed after games. And for some reason (maybe league driven), the media respects that, which is weird for the media.
