I'm over this as much as I'll ever be.

That said, it drives me mad to this day knowing that if that EXACT same play happened in Lambeau in favor of the Packers, that the national reaction and narrative would've been entirely different. The Packers winning a dramatic game would be much more the focus. Rodgers would've got credit for putting the ball in a place where his receiver could make a play. And the discussion on the call would've mostly focused on how it's a murky call to make, and just what is a simultaneous catch. Might sound like sour grapes. But you all know it's true.

F'n media. Don't dare cross their precious golden teams.

but I'm not.

I am going to take ST81's cue though and be done with this topic. We won, they didn't, screw the Pack, Go Hawks.

You want to be done with it because you're wrong. Look at what I posted. It's the official statement by the NFL that would you said is factually incorrect.

Sorry banjo but I agree with Canhawk.

The fact is just like Seatown said above, if the situation were reversed and this was in Lambaugh with them getting the call, the exact same people that are bitching now would be making the exact opposite argument they are making now and everyone would be telling us just like Canhawk said, to deal with it shit happens.

Just the fact that the announcer said live as it was happening, is it a simultaneous catch? Before there was any ruling on the field proves beyond any question that the call was not cut and dry. Why people ignore that little snippet is beyond me.

The discussion is about WHY it was a legitimate touchdown catch. Both banjo & canhawk think it is, but for different reasons. It doesn't sound like you really read the thread.

It should've never gotten to that point, period, game should've ended when Chancellor knocked away a pass, but got a phantom PI called on him.

The right team won, just happened a bit later than it should've.

Disagree 110%

The narrative would have been exactly the same if we were the team on the raw end of the deal. And we'd be just as infuriated as Packer fans/players were. There was a growing disdain for the scab refs and that was the tipping point. (As illustrated by the strike ending days later)

It's ok to admit we got a call in our favor for once. Not sure why so many Seahawk fans are saying "IT WAS A CATCH" when it simply wasn't lol.

But I agree. This horse has been beaten and beaten and beaten.

The hell does Mike Tirico have to do with the call?

The call was questionable not cut and dry like the media and fans are trying to paint it. Calling the worst call in NFL history? Really?

And I disagree that the a reverse situation is treated the same just like when Vinny's helmet scored a touchdown or SBXL was brushed under the rug. This is a case of the NFL's favorite franchises vs the not so much's. This was a pretty much meaningless game for both teams yet that one call has had as much publicity as SBXL. That's a travesty.

Read the thread and you'll see the reasons why we (and the very logical, non-Seahawks fan FO writer) think it was a valid catch.

In my experience, this is the best argument in terms of getting people to shut the hell up about the Packers getting screwed.

Not to bring up the Hated Stealers or anything, but this is approaching being the Seahawks "Immaculate Reception" moment. :)
Good observation given it was the year before their dynasty run iirc.

I thought this was the funniest play of that game. This should be the highlight picture, not Golden's TD.
