Toffee, of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I agree with Sperrydogg above.
I subscribe to Bill Walsh's school on aging stars: trade them a year or two too early instead of a year or two too late. Get Walsh's book, he wrote pages on why :)

We could, with some luck, gotten a third or even a second rounder for Lockett 3 years ago, the $$ could have spent on OL, besides, JSN could have gotten more touches.

Just my 2p.

He has nothing left to prove and going somewhere else would just be an ego thing. I don't think he is that type of person. I think he would retire if the team moved on.

He won't be on the current contract next year. I dint think k he would play elsewhere as his real estate business is here. I think give age, wear and tear with a kid on the way he retires. He doesn't have much left to prove

You got to let the older players go. Trade them before they're too old is better. I am dead set against the third contract anyway for just about anybody not named Mahomes. This attachment to the past is for losers. He was a great Seahawk. Not anymore. But we didn't get anything for the LOB. Nothing but a 5th for Bennet. Trade them too early not too late. I'm talking to you DK.

They arent paying him 27 million next year. He's offered less and decides to moves on. Wouldn't be surprised to see in Pittsburgh next year.

He's cooked.

I love Lockett, he's a great Seahawk and has great years with the team and more than his fair share of highlight reels, but the game against the Cardinals was indicative of his standing with the team. He had 1 target, 0 catches, and that pass that was sent his way slipped through his fingers in the Endzone. It's a tough catch, but I feel that Lockett from five years ago would've had that and the TD easy. He's gonna be expensive and with JSN becoming an absolute monster and DK still performing, Lockett is the odd (and expensive) man out.
