Really pathetic stat. I know the O looks bad but 1/2 sack a game will lose you games.

Gotta say, I've been disappointed with Mac's inability to scheme up some more sacks.

For perspective:

Avila, (#36 pick) and J. Jackson, ($17M), would both start on the Rams O-Line if healthy. Noteboom, ($6M), is the #6, but he's also missing/injured. Limmer and Deditch, (who both played the whole game), are #7 and #8 OL on the depth chart. Nominally Bruss is #9 on the depth chart, but he's purely a G at the NFL level. When Havenstein got hurt at RT he was replaced by McClendon the #10 OL. The Seahawks defense did ok Sunday, but it should have done better.

I felt like we got pressure on the first pass through the game but Stafford is so savvy combine with McVay wanting to dink and dunk and it was just going to be tough to get a ton of sacks. I thought the dline played decent?

I thought the D did a good job pressuring Stafford til the end there. Overall I thought it was their best game of the season and was a bright spot. I mean after the week before they really cleaned up a lot of stuff.

We're in the top 5 in pressures. We're just not closing the deal.

And the last two games did take place against Josh Allen and Matt Stafford.

Big difference between a pressure and a sack. Also, what about the two games against the Giants and Atlanta where they got one sack total? We can sugarcoat it anyway, but they are underperforming tremendously in this area.

When a player is honing in on Stafford and he has to throw it in the dirt to avoid the sack on 3rd down and the defense gets them off the field... that's as good as a sack in my book. They did that yesterday.

In that scenario, the only thing better about a sack is the chance to knock the ball out there. I'd be more worried about the lack of sacks if they weren't getting any pressure.

But you're right, they haven't been getting the sacks and maybe that is cause for concern. IDK.

Hard to go full bore when you know you are going to get flagged for twisting the QB's panties a split second after he releases the ball.

That roughing call was next level, ticky tack crap. But then again, they were playing Coach Mcperfect and the almighty LA Rams
