car/yds avg td

35 - 181 5.2 2 vs Cards

28 - 110 3.9 1 @ Rams

17 - 106 6.2 1 @ Titans

20 - 114 5.7 1 vs Vikings

What our running backs have done since adding Shaheed. Not too shabby. Worth it for that alone but of course it will be nice when he gets more involved in the passing game.

Well, if teams continue to throttle JSN, we'll need Rashid to step up soon. Would love to have both of them humming for the playoffs.

And I think many miss this particular aspect.

Another threat in passing game most certainly opens up the run game a bit.

Vise versa obviously

Not only does he make it harder to defend the run, he offers the additional distraction of pestering opposing teams about a potential FA signing next offseason. Mr. Rental The Rented is going to be an impact player for years to come.

I’ve said more than once, he isn’t completely up to speed (yet), and he’ll be having a bigger impact as time goes on.

My opinion
YMMV

I fully agree with this. It’s my main reason for not being a big fan of WR trades in season. It takes trust and timing between a QB and WR and that just takes time. I’m assuming (for my own sanity) that Sam and Shaheed are putting in. A little extra work together each week.

This is a great point. I did question why he’s not getting involved in the passing game and never thought about his impact to the running game.

Rashid Shaheed is like the new Percy Harvin. Difference maker on special teams and a burner at WR. Injury history with his knees, he is really a track star on the football field. Will he be able to stay healthy for any length of time?

What would you consider a 4th and 5th rounder trade equal to? Does a 4th and 5th rounder equal a 2nd round pick? With the draft capital given, will Rashid have to be resigned to a big contract?

Do you let him walk in free agency, or pay him 15 million? Seems like the front office went all in this season and it has paid off. I can see the team being scalped after the bowl. How much of a drop do you think will happen next season, due personal leaving, and big contracts.

Let's win the game first and then "worry" about Rashid and contracts and whatever.

All worthy of discussion at a later date. For now, eye on the prize!!

Rashid is NOTHING like Percy Harvin. He plays the game, and plays it hard, doesn't claim injury until we play his old team, then miraculous recovery then sucker punches one of our best WR the night before the SuperB Owl. No resemblance.

Percy was and always will be, a POS

Rashid still has tomorrow to punch someone before the big game. Just kidding of course. Rashid seems like a very likable dude.Always seems happy. Not that I am a Percy Harvin fan (not at all) but in his defense he did have mental issues with I think he has dealt with. I do understand the hate though.

Pete wasted a 1st round pick to get Harvin, who got paid big money, way more than what they offered Golden Tate, which is why Tate left.

Then he claimed he was injured and would not play, except when it was against Minnesota, then miraculous recovery!

I feel like he stole from Seahawks fans, then thumbed his nose at everybody. That's where the NFL gets it's money, from hard working fans, then we get to see a pick, a butt load of money that prevented us from signing other players, and a very good receiver fly out the door...for nothing in return.
