I like Quinn more and more with each passing thing I hear about him. That bit from Wright in this audio piece about not just sitting back and waiting is rather telling, IMO.

Every year they come out and talk about how they are an attacking style this year instead of just read and react.

Meh... Show me

I do NOT like this move, at all. In watching a bunch of the games from last year, it seemed KJ was always sniffing out screens & short passes in the flat and breaking them up, so I'm worried that this will take away that natural instinct.

Prove me wrong P&J

The Will in Pete's schematic vision is supposed to highlight/maximize a players' ability to get involved in the plays unmolested. Typically, it's designed for an extremely fast player to run largely unmolested to make plays. Wright isn't that, but his instincts have always been billed as top notch and that can definitely factor in a player being successful at the Will too.

KJ has instincts and length but not speed. He should be able to thrive at that position with those attributes.

Time will tell. Papa Pete & Uncle John have given us many reasons to trust their experiments time and time again, though; so, I'm not worried.

Listen, whatever Pete wants on defense he can do...there are reasons of why he does things. I'm never worried about what they want out of this defense.
