I would like to see him in the allstar game but if it’s what he needs to get in the zone I say do it. Maybe his performance is not up to his expectations and he is grinding instead of getting distracted. I’m for it

I like it and I think it shows a lot of maturity. Hopefully a little time away from the game does him some good. I'm sure he's feeling some pressure to perform better at the plate. Maybe a break is exactly what he needs.

They mentioned that he possibly did it to get Arozarena on the team. Nice gesture if so.

I think playing in the AS game and everything that it encompasses would have been fine for him, but if he feels he needs the break that is cool as well. Plus, he gets all his bonusses triggered just by being elected so he that works for him.
