The 9ers lucked into winning with Woolen's feet getting tangled up as one of the obvious reasons. The next game is a must-win to set things straight for our Super Bowl run. Things must happen to win? I can think of a few, but I am quite sure that you have more to contribute:
  1. Pass rush, mustn't give Rodgers time to survey and decide. Murphy and company must be on their A game
  2. Dockdown DK, an achievable job for our CBs, as they practiced with D for years.
  3. Rest Woolen.
  4. OL to continue the good protection for Darnold or Lock.
  5. A better run-pass balance.
After we win this one, the momentum and confidence will triple jump, and we can't be stopped.

It is “all important”

Odds of an 0-2 team making the playoffs goes down significantly.

Eff the Steelers

If we F up game two, the pressure on game three could be too much, which often leads to unforced errors. Game two is a must-win to set the boys up for the conference championship.

I bet Schneider is in the film room sessions watching and cheering his boys on, come to thik of it, to support Schneider, our lovely Jody might make film room appearances too.

I’ll confess/concede I have no clue what exactly changes the odds when a team has a bad start, 0-1 0-2 0-3 etc.
but it’s certainly a FACT.

IMO this is a must win game.

Sure we can beat the odds, that happens.

Odds are, it doesn’t.

Woolen better pull the stick from his arse this week and make some serious plays. What are the odds of that 🤔 😆

If we trust Google AI, we must win game 2. I know our front office and lovely Jody read dot net, so here:

Historical Context for 0-2 Starts
  • Playoff and Winning Records:
    .

Since the 14-team playoff format began in 2020, only two out of 32 teams (6.25%) that started 0-2 made the playoffs. Furthermore, only five of those 32 teams finished the season with a winning record.

  • Challenging Path to Playoffs:
    .

Reaching the playoffs after a 0-2 start is a long shot, as evidenced by the low success rates.

I don’t see us winning. And I’m 75% homer.

They’re going to match up well with us and exploit our O-line.

Dickrod, I mean Arod throws for 250+…100 of those to DK. Arod likes the seams…we
Like to give up passes in the seams.

Seahawks can win this game if their lines win. Steelers lines are solid but not elite IMO. Their defensive front seven is one of the toughest in football but they can be beat with physical play. That is what the Ravens and Browns do all the time in their inter divisional rivalry games.

I respect you but…..

If we had a thumbs down I’d give it to you now.

Not that you’re being unreasonable, I don’t like the JuJu.

You are right, and we will win. Our front 7 is best in the league, our OL, currently flying under the radar, will be top 10.

Felt bad typing it. Without knowing what our Offense is going to look like…

Now, if we do what we’ve been told all offseason we were going to do….its back in our favor.

A squeaker but, 21-17 win for us.

Just a thought, but I'm guessing that a lot of teams that start 0-2 probably were not very good teams anyway, and I think that's probably a bigger factor in the percentage of teams that make the playoffs after an 0-2 start than merely that an 0-2 start is so difficult to overcome.

Hope that makes sense.
