We have a pretty impressive record of our rookies starting out with injury concerns.
Seriously. It feels a bit like the Hawks are snakebitten this way. This year alone has been exhausting.

He can miss the rams who cares lol, hopefully we don't lose him til the bye, but even with that, we can survive with a good running threat.

If you make the playoffs, I'm not a big believer it matters much if you play every game anyway. Might even help you not to play as much.
The handwringing will only make sense if he misses playoff games or he doesn't contribute enough when he is in one.
Do we absolutely need him for every game? Probably not.

I don't know why, but I feel fully confident with Bobo stepping up and being a solid receiver while JSN is out. He has run some pretty routes in preseason so far.

well if it's 3-4 weeks, we are looking at the Lions game as the earliest return and the Panthers as a more likely return date.

The early schedule is good fortune already, a positive sign, things are going well so far. Sucks for the young superstar, glad it sounds at least to be minor, and they are on it.

A single injury comes with the territory. However, as pointed out above, it's pretty early to be going through so many. I recall JS, in a recent interview, talking about how practices (perhaps at times) might have crossed a line with intensity. I wonder if there have been players pushing a little too hard or taking some unnecessary hits from friendly fire. It's obviously a fine line to walk with the culture Pete wants to promote. That said, perhaps the game this week will be only backups and those fighting for a job. (Has Bobby even stepped on the game field?) The starters have proven their mettle at this point. It's concerning, but everything changes in a week. I think some of the situations we've seen in pre-season would not result in regular season missed time. There also won't be "fringe" players fighting for their career on every practice snap. There is reason to hope the changes from pre to regular season results in a trend upset. Wait and see... as if there's another option.
He got injured in the Dallas game. Jen Mueller mentioned it on the radio broadcast.

In late 1985 I high-sided my motorcycle (my own fault) and broke the living hell out of my right arm and wrist. When they were taking x-rays at the hospital the doc said "So, when did you break your wrist before?" I told him I didn't think I ever did, and he showed me where I had a healed-up hamate bone in there. Thinking about it, I figured it it must have been when they had me break a brick for a karate demo and I had poor technique. (The brick got broke on my second attempt. F*** that brick.) It hurt like the dickens for a couple of weeks, then was better so I passed it off as just a bad bruise. Could be that JSN has a similar injury to mine from way back when, in which case I have no doubt he'll be back sooner rather than later.

This is why he dropped to us at 20, Pete and John knew he had some injury risk.

Not the same injury, but still.

Bad news, but if he can get back close to the start of the season, or even cautiously game 2 or 3, that'd be OK. If there's a rookie WR that already plays like a five year vet and can hit the ground running once healthy, it's JSN.
hamstring = wrist apparently

Seriously? He's the one guy that I really want to see because we haven't had a receiver like him in years. A bonafide chain mover.
