Pinning any of that INT on Kearse is just plain silly. Wilson was scrambling, there is no route to be run lazy any more. Wilson threw a bad pass. It happens. I love Wilson, but blaming Kearse is hero worship at it's worst.

It's not Kearse's fault but he maybe could have prevented the int.

Seeing the replay I thought the guy that intercepted hit Kearse on the leg with his foot while on the ground. Wanted a red flag on that but that didn't happen. Anyone able to check on their recording.

I thought Kearse gave up at point of not being able to catch the ball. He should have kept playing to maybe slap the ball out of the defenders hands / touch him on the ground but not his fault that an int happened.

I haven't seen any replays, but it was impression during the game that he didn't even see the ball. Again that was just going off what I saw live and thought at the time. He just looked like he never saw it.

I've heard WRs say it's a whole 'nother ballgame when you're running routes across the middle. We've seen Kearse get deep, but the timing, aggressiveness, and feel for the crossing routes might not be there yet. Also, some of that is probably on Russ not knowing where Kearse is going to be either.

Never seen Kearse catch a ball across the mid, Doubt he didn't go for the ball on purpose.

I didn't see pouting, but, IMO, he gave up immediately on the pass. And, doing so lead to an INT. It could've been deflected, IMO.

I'd expect to see a little less of Kearse this Sunday.

I disagree. I think he's a guy we should see more of. The guy has had 5 targets in 4 games to the tune of 90 yards and 2 TDS and caught 4 of the 5 targets. Of course I'm counting the OPI called against him which I thought was pretty soft.

Kearse is dynamic and we need to get him the ball more IMO.

Case in point.

Okay, then why doesn't Rice (the vet Receiver) come back to catch the ball when he KNOWS the ball is coming his way, and his Quarterback is under pressure, yet allows a Defender to play on HIS ball for the interception.
in the Texans game, AND in the Colts game too?, c'mon man, Kearse has somewhat of an excuse, Sidney does not.

It was a gawd awful pass. Nothing more, nothing less. 100 percent of that INT is on Wilson. He had a Schaub moment, which I understand, it was almost all on him to pull a game out of the fire.

D had his back, end of story. Kearse was probably just surprised as hell he threw it.

I remembered it just being just a terrible pass as well. Going off memory, I don't even remember Kearse being in all that great of position to break up the pick. Like you said, I think he was surprised the ball was even thrown. It wasn't just a bad decision and bad throw, but the ball got to the DB very quickly too. Hard to react in a situation like that.

All of the above, awful pass. It was
garbage time.

You're a 100% right for me. Kearse may be the best WR on the team minus Harvin. He is underrated to such a degree it's amazing. Regarding this specific play, even if the guy made a mistake by not giving his all, this is a split second decision which he undoubtedly regrets. He will not make the same mistake again. Also, it's tought to say whether 100% effort would have made a difference. If a ball is a foot out of reach it looks very close to us, but in reality it is not. Stilll i agree that a player must give 100% effort at all tiems, and if this was a mistake Kearse makes often it would be a huge issue for me. But it's not. This is a single mistake made by a player in a split decision, a mistake / lesson he will learn from.
