My bad, I was linking it to the first game I can remember in forever where the Rams looked decent thru the air last night, I was actually pretty impressed how Austin played.

A record is a record..winningest/ losingest coach???

He's 10 losses behind Dan Reeves for the most losses in NFL history. He's been mediocre enough to stick around long enough to challenge the record. Reeves had 165 in 23 seasons. Fisher has 155 in 21 seasons. If they lose to Seattle and Santa Clara to end the season, Fisher will pass Don Shula for 3rd on the list.

Discussed the futures of #Rams coach Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead on @AroundTheNFL: All indications are both are safe for the 2016 season.

I bet they finish within one game of 8-8 next year too. Whoa...deja vu... I believe I have said that before.

Great... Another year of cheap shots and dirty play
Yeah that's the down side to another year of them finishing around .500. I do believe once they're officially moving to LA that he'll be fired though. Kroenke needs to make a big splash and keeping Captain .500 ain't it.

Unless Rams win their final two games, Jeff Fisher will become the first coach since Dick Jauron to have a losing record in 5 straight years

It must suck balls to be a Rams fan right now.

Fisher is not hired to make the Rams win.

Expand?

My guess is either Fisher was hired to smooth the teams move to LA......or........lose enough in St. Louis to dwindle fan support to allow StanK to cry to the NFL about lack of fan support.......or........BOTH.

And his plan worked to perfection.

We'll see. the BOA voted to approve financing for the stadium. Now it goes to the state legislature and the Governor. Governor is already quite invested in the process so the NFL will most likely remain in St. Louis. Whether that is the Rams, Chargers, Raiders or some other team is yet to be determined.

They approved an amount, that amount still falls short of what was wanted.

Yes that is why it goes to the state legislature now. St.Louis couldn't ask the state for funding if they refused to fund it.

Oh, kept on for one more year. Guess I should have known what she meant. I get this from my girlfriend.

He had a couple of good seasons before the realignment when the AFC Central had 6 teams; 4 of which were annually mediocre or terribad. After the realignment, he had one solid season after getting the #1 seed, but then got bounced out of the playoffs in the first game by the Ravens. That's pretty much it. Why this guy even has a job is beyond me. He's 1 or 2 seasons away from having the most losses of all-time.

And the Niners fans on the webzone have a thread promoting the idea of making him their next head coach.

Mama always said stupid is as stupid does.

In fairness, he might be an upgrade.

Sorry but if it was ever proven that a coach was hired to win enough but not enough to get anywhere I'd hope there'd be a way for players to sue ownership.

That's just flat out wrong. The guys on the field have a very short window and have committed their entire lives to this. Taking away even one year is taking away 20% of a career in most cases from someone that's worked 20 years to get to the NFL field. The mental and physical challenges along the way could never be understood by us.

If all of that was disregarded and sabotaged I'd hope the players would have some kind of recourse.
