It's Just Insulting...

I've seen plenty of writers and radioheads picking the Hawks. It also doesn't matter.

Predictions have zero effect on the outcome so it doesn't matter at all to me. However, I can see why people are picking Carolina. They beat us in our house and finished with one loss. That's a pretty salty resume.

OK, for one thing we are not the same team as we were in week 6 when they won the game on a blown coverage. Secondly, have you looked at their strength of schedule? That's part of the reason they are 15-1. Our strength of schedule was much tougher than theirs. We played more playoff caliber teams than they did. Because they had a weaker strength of schedule I really do not believe that they will have a tough time in the playoffs. Thirdly, we have the number one defense and they have the number one offense. The number one defense has won these contests 7 out of the last 10 times. Because of all of these things we got this

I have seen that as well. It just not my panthers getting love. Seahawks are getting some as well. Might not be as much as us though.

I personally don't care who they pick to win and I actually prefer when they pick against the Seahawks because listening and reading about how wrong they were is pure enjoyment for the days following the game. Most have learned to temper their picks and not predict the Seahawks to get blown out anymore...it was fun when they used to do that.

I predict a blowout. Seahawks win...BIG.

Have you not learned anything in the last 4 years? The media is on par with a middle schooler. Flip floping to whatever team is hot at the time. Or the feel good story. I swear most of the media does not look beyond the last quarter of play

I don't find it insulting at all. We barely snuck by the Vikings last week (I know, the weather conditions changed that game a lot - but thats the surface value a lot of the "experts" will take from it). Carolina is in their house, has a 15-1 record with #1 seed and the likely league MVP at QB. What do you expect? I've not heard an overwhelming bias in picks for Carolina so far. If anyone should feel insulted its Carolina. Guarantee that adds a little to their motivation too.

All in all, it doesn't upset me in the least because as people have mentioned, the team seems to like playing the underdog role. Even though they probably psyche themselves into being in that role in the times they're the favorites too. Most importantly though, it puts all the pressure on Carolina.

I actually disagree. Why should Carolina be insulted??? If anything, with everyone being so quick to count us out I feel that the Panthers are becoming more cocky and overall, they are underestimating us...that's why I think we should feel insulted.

Agreed. They are worried almost as much as New Orleans in 2013 and who could blame them?
