I've got a very very cold corona with my seahawks beer cover sitting in the fridge from the last superbowl and it was my victory beer and vowed to never open it until they got back and won, damn I'm thirsty.

I'm not sure I'd EVER open a 7 year old beer... I'd probably chuck it, a new team deserves a new victory beer. If your tastebuds agree, a northwest Microbrew would better serve the occaision IMHO. Either way, I hope you do get to drink one after a few more victories...

Ok, your first problem is its a corona. Holy crap sir, that is the second worst bear on earth. The only one worse is CORONA LIGHT. By the way, I am kind of not kidding, beer advocate has it in the bottom 30 of every beer on earth, and corona light actually is the number 1 worst.

You will probably get sick if you drink it after 7 years in the fridge...

That being said, there are beer styles that are acceptable and preferable to store for long periods of time. That would be "bottle conditioned" or "bottle fermented" beers. Basically, the brewing process isn't entirely complete when it gets bottled and a lot of times the flavor is best 2-3 years after initial bottling.

However even then 7 years might be a stretch.

I'm kind of thinking you are obligated to drink it anyway since you made that promise to yourself :)

How many years has it been since you kissed your sister?
Was the beer to get her drunk first?

Don't let these jerks talk you out of your victory beer. That Corona is sacred.

Nobody can talk me out of the beer if we win, hell, I grew up in Aberdeen, so that should tell you a lot.

As a religious beer drinker and religious hawks fan, don't do it. Drinking 1 old beer doesn't prove anything. Instead vow to drink 6 coronas during the game instead of 1 old beer.
