Maybe Shanny calling for a seven step drop from the two yard was the real mistake.
Agreed. But as Brock Huard once said, if the sidelines sends in a skunk of a play, it's up the quarterback to not let it stink.

Jimmy Garoppolo has a 6-0 record against the Rams in his career.

Better than those guys at what?
Jimmy has a loaded defense and still can’t seem to get out of his own way. His footwork sucks, no vision can’t read the field etc. And don’t even get me started on his weenie arm lol this is what happens when you don’t do research on a player.
A superbowl appearance and two NFC championship games isn't exactly the result of a bad QB. Yeah, he makes the occasionally dumb play but I wouldn't label him as the worst QB in the NFL. You're blinded by your hatred for the Niners. He's far better than most QBs in the league.

What does handing the ball off and watching your defense dominate have to do with good quarterback play?

Yes, he's 100% bad QB play and blundered his way to a Superbowl. Sharp eye l'il Frodo.
Again, he threw 8 passes in the NFCCG so just stop it with the Jimmy praise. He rode a defense and running game to the SB 3 years ago and got his poop packed cause he can’t throw. He doesn’t suck as a backup but look at the throws Geno makes compared to Jimmy’s 2 yard slants and screens. Lol laughable

Make that 7-0. If Brady and the Patriots had a 7-0 record against the Jets, or sad-sack Bills during the drought it would be meh.
But this is the Rams, in Superbowl contention form. I'd say that's pretty remarkable.

Yep, handing the ball off for all 17 games and going 0-0 passing ! He is an above average QB.
Above average? Uh no he isn’t. Guess how many teams tried to trade for him? Not a single damn team wanted his lesser arm talent. If it weren’t for YAC he would’ve been shit canned a while ago. The guy has absolutely no downfield game at all. Geno has more talent in his pinky than Jimmy has in his entire arm. They win because of the defense and Kyle’s schematics. This conversation is over. Try to study the game a little more guy. There’s a reason for everything

No one has beaten down the door with offers to Geno to start. Geno is and always will be a back up QB. He has definitely improved, but until he goes a whole season without pulling a "Geno" I'm not convinced.

Several legitimate franchise quarterbacks have put together "Geno" moments this year. Stop invalidating good play with single examples. It's bullshit. The overall caliber of play is what matters.

Its not about moments, it's about consistency. Geno so far has had "moments", until he consistently delivers in a starting QB fashion I will remain doubtful and fully expect Geno to "Geno" at any time.

He's played above league average for 7 and 1/3 games at this point (his passer rating in every game last year was superior to the average for every team he faced. He's already faced two highly ranked defenses and he's still the #1 ranked QB by PFF this year). How many does it take to be 'consistent'? And what does 'fully expect Geno to "Geno"' for a guy who hasn't had significant playing time until just now even mean? Like, how are you even deciding what it means to "Geno"?

Why is his time years ago in New York, for example, more determinative of who or what Geno is than his time with this team that he's actually playing for now?

To answer the OPs question though: No, Jimmy G is not the worst QB in the league. We've got Trubisky and Mayfield out there. Jimmy is just a limited QB who makes some truly unfathomable mistakes from time to time but otherwise knows how to play within his own limitations.

He's Trent Dilfer.

Yes this maybe true but you give Geno way too much credit. He's a backup that so far is having a good year, nothing more at this point.
