Turbin will most likely take carries after that for at least a qtr. Theyll probably hold him out tonight because of the minor injury. Give Ware and Coleman some more eval time during the 4th. The team already knows Michael is a lock on the roster. No need to rush him back in a preseason game.
Robinson is out tonight, so it will be interesting to see whos running at FB with the 1's (if they even use a FB). Im interested to see Bates, who has supposedly been practicing there, in the role. Hes a big kid, but doesnt seem that big to play the part. Also will be interesting to see if Ware gets the start at FB since all we have heard about is this hybrid back, and yet he has only really run from the HB position.
ROOKIE WATCH: SPENCER WARE
With Robinson unavailable and rookie running back Christine Michael back after sitting out last week’s game, the team’s sixth-round draft choice should get ample work at fullback against the Packers after being the leading rusher in last week’s win over the Broncos.
“He’s had a good camp. He’s been a really fun guy to look at,” Carroll said of Ware. “He’s got toughness about him. He’s got flexibility in that he can catch the ball. And he’s working hard on his blocking. He’s contributing on special teams.
“He’s making a real bid to try to make this football team.”

BTW: I'm going to start referring to him "Chris-10" from now on.
Not because of the way his name is supposed to be pronounced, but because he's going to be good for 10 yards every time he touches the ball.

Ware played quite a bit of FB last week, and wasn't exactly a bulldozer. I like him too, I think he is going to be a very good special teams player and would be a good 3rd down back type, I just don't know if I see him supplanting a pro-bowler at this stage of the franchise's development.
