With how little Pete intigrated Josh into the scheme I have to believe he knew all along Josh was going to be suspended at some point from a failed drug test.

They were talking about that on the radio, simply didn't want the offense to rely on Gordon to much just for that reason.

What we don't know about this whole situation is when he apparently failed the drug test. If it was before he left the Patriots then that puts a different look on the situation. If it was after he got here then his self control still has troubling limitations.

Far too much is unknown here to speculate about it. We don't know what Pete knew.

I did like what we saw of the player in his limited touches here. His suspension certainly doesn't help the team, but won't be that much of a loss.

Who cares, he's gone and it's time to forget it. I'm hoping Ursua gets to play. I've seen enough of Brown, time to move on from him and let Ursua play. Moore can make plays and so can Turner, but I think Ursua has that sneak factor.

But can he block?

Vs 10 year olds I am a wall ...well the reports are he is not much of a blocker so that is why Turner and Brown stay ahead of him on the depth chart. We want him to be Baldwin but realistically that is doubtful as he was a special receiver. I hope he can do well but outside of some pre season action vs some scrubs he is an unknown at this point.

I feel for the young man and hope he is able to overcome his demons.

I think it's great that the NFLPA, and the NFL give these players tons of support. There's not enough of that going around.

Apparently Roger Goodell has been supportive of Josh, who sees him as a sort of father figure. That's what a Commisioner is supposed to do, look for solutions and give support. Not just administer penalties.

For some reason, I have every confidence that Josh Gordon will be just fine, thanks to his support system.

Try Summers eve, since you are asking for suggestions.

Yeah, this isn't even a football or a Seahawks thing. This is a guy with some real demons that needs to get it under control.

I'm not ready to give up on Gordon yet, and I bet Pete isn't either.
It isn't like Josh was out there hurting anyone. He wasn't doing anything to disrupt society. He is merely not managing his private life in a way that conforms to the way some other people insist he should.
If I understand it correctly players sign a statement agreeing to specified conduct. It appears Josh did not live up to that agreement.
Gordon has to work that out in his mind and committ to whatever his priorities are. Football doesn't last forever. There is plenty of time after football to pursue your alternative interests.
I smoked some weed (way) back in the day and I had fun doing it. But later I entered a profession that caused me to agree to random/required drug test. Because my profession meant far more to me that using anything that altered my natural born sensitivities I readily agreed to the test requirements. I've never been sorry about that. Because of my own experience I feel I can relate to what Josh faces. I have no reason to think he cannot work things out and come back to realize his tremendous football potential. I'm pulling for him.
