Hello defending champs.... Very nice board and a very nice city you have in Seattle, I will be there Saturday for the game. This should be a great matchup, the defending champs against the improbable NFC South champions. I don't suspect a blowout, both teams are too sound defensively for that to occur. Thankfully our interior D is good enough where every time we have played your team we usually hold Beast to under 100 yds. This game will come down to special teams and turnovers, it will be a 17-10 17-14 kind of affair IMO. As long as Cam doesn't try to "take over" the game and just manages it with the three headed rushing attack monster then we should be able to keep things close as both teams are built remarkably similar. This isn't the same team that came up to Seattle with our 9th string RB and one trick pony act with Steve Smith, I too was at that game only to witness an utter smackdown.

Cheers!

Welcome and you picked a good game to go to. Weather should be favorable. And it should be a good game. And not a bad seat in the house. Most 12s are respectable so you shouldn't get too much push back. It's not like you're a niner fan!

We aren't the same team you met in Carolina either. We are healthy and great on D. The stadium should be rocking. I expect something closer to 24-6 Seahawks. We are only giving up 6 points per game over our last 5 games. After looking back at your schedule it seems as though you guys give up a lot of points on the road for some reason.

I hope you enjoy the day though and I'd be interested to hear how your experience was after the game so please comeback and give us an update.

He is talking about the last time the Panthers were in Seattle for a playoff game...2005 season. Hawks rolled in that game, it was awesome.

Who else here remembers how the Panthers WR, Steve Smith, became "very agitated" that he wasn't getting the ball?

Have a great time at the game
In 05 I was able to meet many panther fans that had travelled from Carolina for the game.
They had commented at the time how friendly the hawk fans were to them.

Yeah, I was there. Stepson bought us tickets. That was so awesome. Shut down their #1 threat and they crumbled. Different story this time. Hopefully same result.

Welcome thebigcat. You'll have a blast. Weather is supposed to be pretty decent.

Hope you enjoy Seattle! Try to use mass transit the stadium area is a zoo traffic-wise. But the good news is you'll be able to leave before all the 12s and avoid that traffic mess right around the middle of 4th quarter. I'm sure you won't be interested in the game much after that. :)

Welcome to the board and hope you enjoy your experience at the Clink.

How has Wes Horton held up this season? I imagine we will be running off tackle (Russell Okung) toward that side of the field quite a bit.

Charles Johnson vs. rookie Justin Britt is another interesting matchup. Though Johnson dominated us in 2013, Britt seemed to hold his own against Johnson earlier in the season. Britt seems to do better in pass pro against power rushers vs. speed rushers.

That was our year to win. However, an unnatural string of injuries plagued the panthers that year. I can't help but for for Steve knowing that Muhsin Muhammad, Stephen Davis, DeShaun Foster, and Nick Goings were all out. He was the ONLY option that game, and the Panthers were no match for a stacked team that featured the good version of Hasselbeck and Alexander.

We had Walter Jones and Steven Hutchinson at LT and LG. Very hard to defend runs and pass rush on the side. I remember Jones taking Rucker about 20+ yards downfield on one particular play. Amost unfair lining up against that tandem.

Your post reminded me that we were down Kris Jenkins after an injury too. That killed our inside presence on the line. If I remember correctly, Julius was pretty quiet too? My memory may have faded a bit in 10 years though.
