Gang,
I just wanted to give huge kudos to Joe Tafoya for spending his own money & time in order to try for the Guinness record. Whether we make it or not, Joe should be commended for spearheading this try and further cementing the 12th man as the loudest in the league. Make sure everyone here screams as loud as you possibly can on the 49'ers first offensive huddle.

Great work Joe!

Absolutely!

Only been in town abut 24 hours but there seems to be a genuine 'calm before the storm' atmosphere. Like everyone is just waiting (patiently? impatiently?)for tomorrow...

Whether we get the record or not, having it attempted for the 49ers game was genius. Our crowd will be so pumped up, it HAS to effect the game! (positively, that is).

The crowd was already going to be pumped up for this game - home opener, division rival, prime time. If people attending the game needed a record attempt to get loud or excited, they should have just saved their money and gone to a "Longest Nails" record attempt.

Exchanged a couple of emails with Joe. He was hoping we were coming over for the game so we could meet. Oh if only, but I imagine those years are gone.

Thanks Joe for all the work you put in this, we all appreciate it.

Why the Debbie Downer Riley? No need to bring the negativity to this.

It was major cool having an actual Seahawk posting here, and I love his continued loyalty to our incredible fan base. I don't think we're going to break the world record because I think the turkish record is bogus, if not impossible by human voices alone if you looks at the facts. I just want to be the loudest in the NFL, and have a number to point at for the other teams fan bases to look at. That's all we need, and will give us all the bragging rights we need. Thanks for assembling the troops Joe! Much appreciated!

Sorry. This offseason in particular has my brain screaming, "Where were you (new fans, Volume 12, ...) when?"

In other words, where was this enthusiasm, hype, and so forth when I and a relative handful of people were
huddled in the stands at Husky Stadium? Where were they when opposing fans regularly took over the visiting
side of the then new Seahawks Stadium because no one could be bothered to support this team by getting their
butts downtown on gameday? Where was Volume 12 when I was sitting in a sea of Terrible Towels in Detroit
screaming in support of my team and cursing every unjust call until my throat bled?

I guess I just don't see the self-sacrifice or whatever other people see. I just see a marketing effort
trying to find an inroad with a team that is currently one of the hottest in the league. I don't need a registered
trademark to tell me when to cheer, when to be excited and when to support my team. I support them
with every friggin' breath I take!

If Joe, Volume 12 and all this is still around in the years when we can barely get 20,000 bodies into the stands,
I'll be the first to step up and shake those hands and admit I was sour puss.

Guys, I just wanted to say thank you for showing the support! No worries Riley, I totally understand that you need some love for being a real fan! I stepped into Volume 12 this year but it's been around since 2008. I was in the detroit super bowl and dealt with those lousy towels so I feel your pain. But please believe we are going to break this record and become the worlds loudest stadium. I will dedicate the certificate to the 12th Man and make it known around the world that Seattle is a football destination to be feared.

Much love .net

Because not everyone that is going to be at the game is as cool and such a 'real' fan as you, and may need an extra incentive such as this to scream at their loudest. Having been there since the stadium opened, I can attest to the fact that even at our loudest, not everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs; or at all.

Joe, Thanks for taking the time to come to our little town last summer for one of the high school seniors, Senior Project, and for taking the time to take a picture with my son. We will set the record tomorrow. More importantly we will win tomorrow. My wife and I will be yelling, and stomping.

Hopefully it will be a while before the team is playing bad enough for there to be only 20,000. I will be there then, as i am now. I still remember taking the time to just sit there soaking up the crowd noice and look around during the NFC Championship game once I relalized we were going to the Superbowl. Just smiling and saying yeah. I remember the empty stadium. That was part of the joy I was feeling that day, Seahawks stadium filled with Seahawk fans. I will always welcome a new fan because that's one more person taking up a seat that the visiting teams fans would be happy to get. Just because you have tickets it doesn't make you more of a fan. I know plenty of people would love to have season tickets, but can't afford them. Just be happy that the game tonight will be filled with Seahawk fans and not niner fans. There may be new fans, but they will be yelling just like you. Some fans wont stick around when we play bad, but some will . Just like every other team when your winning you get more fans. Everyone loves a winner. The diehards stick around and you my friend sound just as diehard as me.

Just wanted to let you know, Joe. Sucking up to us most definitely gets you places. ;)

Thanks for everything, man. For real. Both in terms of all of this, as well as back when you played for the Hawks.

It's so awesome seeing a former player of ours make the transition from player to 12th Man to ambassador of everything that is great about this city, team, and fan base.

I've been to 12 or so different NFL stadiums, including supposed loud places like KC, NO, MIN. And not a single one even comes close to what we do. People think it's a homer thing to say. But it really isn't. We are the only stadium in football that I've come across that takes pride in making noise on EVERY SINGLE DEFENSIVE SNAP. Everywhere else I've been only gets loud on 3rd or 4th down, and when their offense scores. Not in Seattle. You don't know how many times I've bragged about this fact to fans in other cities when explaining to them how awesome a home crowd we have. Bias and homerism almost always causes fans to think they are the best. But here in Seattle, we really are.

Let's do this!

Go Hawks.
