You're being awful hard on a guy who has only been in the league for 15 years. And no playoffs. Or playoff wins. Ever.

Players are not drafted for what they did in college but what they will do it’s a guessing game of if said player can work out in our systemJaxson Dart also didn’t win shit in college.
You can't expect any QB to do it all by himself. Overall team balance and strength compared to the opposition will always be the deciding factor for establishing a ceiling.Jaxson Dart also didn’t win shit in college.
And of those, only Purdy, Russ, and Hurts have had any real postseason success. The other seven QBs you listed are a combined 4-13 in the playoffs, with zero conference championship game berths.I have a strong feeling that this year one of those mid to late round picks is going to succeed. Just a hunch. It's pretty rare when it happens though. I mean here's the best of the bunch drafted 3rd round or later in a 10 year span between 2002-2022:
7-262 Brock Purdy 2022
4-135 Dak Prescott 2016
3-75 Russell Wilson 2012
7-250 Ryan Fitzpatrick 2005
3-90 Matt Schaub 2004
4-108 David Garrad 2002
During that same span in the 2nd round:
2-53 Jalen Hurts 2020
2-36 Derek Carr 2014
2-39 Geno Smith 2013
2-35 Andy Dalton 2011
So I'm really going out on a limb here with my prediction.

Sure they are. They always look at whether a QB elevates his team. If a team brings in a new QB and suddenly, they're ranked nationally where they weren't previously a lot of times its due to elevated QB play. It also shows you how they play again better teams.Players are not drafted for what they did in college but what they will do it’s a guessing game of if said player can work out in our system
Happens all the time in the offseason. Typically, once after the combine and again after FA once needs are or aren't filled. Only takes 1 team to love him and think he's the guy. Agents can put out little leaks to suggest Team A has said they will draft such and such player to get said player drafted higher by a team that reaches. Teams' boards and "Experts" boards aren't always the same either. I suspect he will be there day 2 but that can change in a hurry. This time of year, is a ton of smoke and mirrors by all parties involved. How did Dart suddenly go from being a projected third or fourth round pick to possibly being off the board when we pick at 18?
