Who's got their trade chart up in Madden, many of the responses here speak like that what we were playing last night.

I don't think our D is terrible, just our D-line. We have a very good secondary, but they can't cover guys forever, when the opposing QB has all day to stand in the pocket (as evidenced by last night).

I feel the Dline was getting pressure and on all their replays they were, just gotta give credit to the Zebras for ignoring the tremendous amounts of holding that the Patriots literally got away with.

The D Line was getting pressure consistently, 1 second too late. Cam stepped up or rolled out and made a play.

If we get that kind of play against statue QBs later they should turn into sacks.

A lot of ugly covered up by the W. Were lucky that Diggs will be back and our injuries were in our deepest position groups or we’d be in worse shape for the Cowboys. We’re going to have to clean our act up this week and play decent football.

The Cowboys just gave up 39 points to Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The same Falcons team that our D held to 18 points for the first 59 minutes of the game just 1 week earlier. Yeah, we've got some issues, but so do the Cowboys.

Seattle have developed a nasty habit of defending way too deep when trying to protect a 4th quarter lead. It has gone on for years. NE should not have been anywhere close to winning today but instead Seattle were lucky to hang on. The first time I noticed this particularly was losing a play off game to Atlanta the year before winning the Superbowl.

It was a great game, and of course I was thrilled about the win, though I feel like I lost 10 years on my life last night. But I'm going to throw my 2 cents in here because this has long been a real source of frustration for me personally.

After we went up by 2 scores with about 4 1/2 minutes left, my brother texted me and said "it's over". I texted him back and told him it was far from over because time and again in those situations, we start playing extremely soft on D, all in the name of not giving up anything over the top. And low and behold the opposing team moves right down the field with relative ease and scores while burning very little time off the clock.

This has been an issue since PC has been here and we probably should have lost the game last night because of it. When will they learn? It's like clockwork. You can depend on it, and my frustration level goes through the roof because I know it's going to happen.

Regarding that 3rd and 1 long pass call, that's not the first time that has happened in that situation either.

I'm happy about the win, but I sure wish they would stop trying to give games away so easily by playing that ridiculous prevent defense too soon, and trying to outsmart themselves on offense when all they need is 1 yard to all but ice the game.

He'll do it. Staying on a 75-TD pace is nothing for an MVP.

I mean if it takes Russell throwing 5 dimes a game for TDs with no interceptions, what could go wrong?

Bullsh*t dude ^, Seahawks beat the Cowboys, = No if ands or buts, it was a HARD FOUGHT WIN, this isn't the time to snivel about some of our players getting beat all to hell & throwing everything they had into doing so. :141847_bnono:

That post you quoted was from last week & had nothing to do with the Cowboy game.

If this has become the complain about the D thread I guess I’ll bite.
K.J Wright is solid against the run but on passing plays he looks like he is wearing cement blocks on his feet. Everyone on the field is outrunning him. You can’t keep dropping him in coverage and expect anything to change.

I dunno; what I saw today was a lot of our corners getting run like they were hobbled, then playing so far off that the short and medium completions were automatic. More pass rush would certainly help; so would a secondary that plays zone like it should be played. This one is not right currently. Could be some communication issues. Also a lot of moving pieces on the season and weekly it seems. There is more individual talent there than what we are seeing.

I'd even be willing to put up with everyone's negativity if this thread is appropriate every week of regular- and post-season.

Yep, here's to more complaining after wins. It's pretty consistent :irishdrinkers:

Statistically the worse Defense of all time in the first three games. Ever. In league history. If you’re not concerned more power to you. This team is not a contender with this defense sorry. Scary part is at the start of the season the secondary was suppose to be Hawks strong point of the Defense. Yikes

He’s definitely a liability at this point. He’s been awful. Mistake bringing him back.

Did I say the D doesn't suck? No I didn't.
But go ahead and assume I did. Typical.
They're 3-0. Keep whining after every win if you like. And I'll keep enjoying wins.
They are 3-0 and you bitch about WINS every single time. Change the record man.

Lmao at this delusion. The secondary is god awful. Worst ever actually.

1. SEA 1,292
2. NE 1,131 (2011)
3. SF 1,107 (2005)
4. HOU 1,106 (2010)
5. TAM 1,088 (2018)

The LOB used to hand out coverage sacks like they were candy. This secondary on paper should give similar results. They can’t even cover for 2 seconds. Guys are flying around wide open. Is it coaching? Has Pete lost his DB coaching magic?
