I am watching the game yesterday and I am getting this strange feeling that I am watching the same game over and over again. In fact, I had to look twice because I feel like I was watching the same game earlier in the week with UW vs Ohio State.
I was bought in with the game plan and even thought when it wasn't working I thought we might wear them down BUT when we were digging our hole ever deeper I started wondering when we might open things up a bit. It didn't happen though and it started reminding me of that movie where the golfer stubbornly tries to drive the ball over the water and keeps hitting it in the water OVER AND OVER AGAIN. (Tin Cup)
And, just like the UDub game, we had some success when we did try to throw the ball downfield but then right back to 1st down run, no yds, 2nd down run, 1 yd, and then 3rd and long and now you are vulnerable to a pass-rushing defense that knows exactly what you are going to do!
As I stare into the void of yet another hopeless onside kick my mind is reeling with the thought of having to watch the same game over and over again for the rest of my life.
