It sounds like Pete is either already way ahead of me or trending this way. Pete, a leader of great accomplishment, admitted he didn't reach the team like he thought he did and that may have played at least some part in the week 1 beating..
Now seems appropriate as any to have a structure in place for the beginning of the year wherein leaders of the SB squad come back and coach, criticize, challenge, and inspire, maybe right after cutdowns, and have them on the sidelines week 1. Helping the players "lock-in", just as they were able to eventually do on their own and maintain for 5-6 years, they remained "locked-in". This seems one of the pillars of championship teams, find yourself as a team, work as one.
As an aside, who is most likely to coach in the NFL from those teams? Bobby?
