The more I think about this off season, I’m feeling better. Out are quarterback Geno Smith and wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. In are QB Sam Darnold and wideouts Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. On top of it all, there’s the addition of Klint Kubiak as offensive coordinator. But more importantly OUT is Grubb and his scheme that put a premium on the OL to perform, where Kubiak has a wide zone scheme, play action to set up the pass and not holding the ball. Darnold flourished in this system and we do have horses to make it run. The biggest beneficiaries will be the OL, not being in shotgun 80% or more with the DL ears pinned back.
