Funny thing is, Russell keeps telling people he doesn't run, doesn't consider himself a run first qb or a read option qb, and would much rather hand the ball to Marshawn.

catching him isn't the hardest part as surviving catching him.

LOL ...... June 2013 comments from Greg Hardy ......
Hardy isn't aiming to merely break Strahan's 22.5 sack record either; he wants to double it -- and then get five more on top of that. The Panthers defensive end said Tuesday his goal in 2013 is 50 sacks.

Not here to smack talk, I think that with Wilson's mobility, It will be hard for Hardy and CJ to to get to him, if anything we got to put our hands up to block throwing lanes, a few poster mentioned the the hurry up, during the PHI game this preseason, our DEF looked gassed when Chip ran it, especially with Vick (they snapped the ball 15-17 seconds after the previous play).

I think that or corners will be better then last year, but our scheme we run (and I hate it), is to play soft zone coverage, and hope that the QB makes a mistake, when playing the Manning bros, that got us smoked (two game we lost last year by more then 8 points, I believe the only games we lost by more then 8 points)

Our offense line right now sucks, and I think Pete knows that, and that is why if yall let Avril and Clemons sit for an extra week, your back ups wlll still do a good enough job to contain our Offense, I do expect to see Smith in the slot to get those big corners off of him, we got Ginn and Hixon who both can stretch the field, which in theory will allow Smith and Olsen to get open underneath, but y'alls LB corps and safeties are pretty damn good.

I don't think we get blown out, but I dont see us doing enough on offense to win the game TBH.......

Like others have noted, Carolina strikes me as one of the "trap" games on the Seahawks schedule. Cam Newton is that much more experienced and will be extra dangerous in this game. We don't know what our DL will look like, steak or hamburger. One thing we do know, a saving grace, is that we have a lot of speedy linebackers to chase Cam down.

I'm concerned that Carolina could pull an "Atlanta" on us and run, run, run on us like nobody's business. We don't know how good our run-stoppers are. Carolina was a good running team last year.

Carolina seems to have a decent DL themselves, and Kuechly has been an absolute beast for them. I think our offense wears them down in the 4th quarter.

The wildcard here is turnovers, defensive scores, and explosive special teams play. If Carolina is +2 in that area, our margin of advantage probably doesn't overcome that. If it's even or Seattle advantage, we win handily.

When all is said and done, I expect a W that feels a lot like the playoff win over the Redskins, where we were behind for a lot of the game. Anyone remember how they felt after the Redskins went up 14-0 on us in the 1st quarter?
