I really want to believe, BUT I’m still not sure about Darnold. If he is what he was last year, we win 13 games. But if he is what he was the rest of his career, Lock will be playing by week 5

Think he'll be closer to last year's performance than rest of career.

Latest report from Nemhauser is that he's been shredding the defense in practice.

Of course we'll have to see it in real games but there are reasons to be optimistic.

One of the players coming off the field after the Raiders game (I forget who) said that and it resonated with me.

I just feel like the Seahawks know something the rest of the NFL world doesn't. This feels very 2012-ish to me.

Buckle up kiddies. Should be a blast.
Totally agree.

Like another poster said, you just have to see how wide those running lanes were.

But honestly, although we've addressed a bunch of issues, and with a new OC coaching scheme - got a fullback, and we've lost some Divas - I think chemistry is the biggest X factor this year. Everyone seems bought in - run through a wall for ya kinda attitude. Or, maybe it's partially because we lost the Divas.

I would completely agree that this feels very 2012. I think that KK's style is going to kill. I think he lost too many starters in NO and it skewed (screwed?) the season.

I also feel like we're back in an 'always compete' mode. Not just a sign over the door. Best man available.

LFG!!!!!!!

PS-> And just seeing GeNO flipping off fans when the Raiders were here - WE'RE LIGHT YEARS AHEAD of that chemistry, scheme coaching and locker room cancer from last year. Light years.

Shredding the defense while at the same time shredding the naysayers...uhh....naysaying? (I think that's a word...maybe) 😁

I have the same hope that everyone else on .NET has. If this team comes out and plays as well when the games count , I'll be a little surprised.

Like John Madden used to say ...

"Check back with me about week 8"

I’m by nature an optimistic person. Every year I have high hopes for the season. For many years I had hopes of maybe this is finally going to be our year. That went on for a long time. But eventually it happened. And it was glorious.

Some years I’m maybe just a little more optimistic and some years I’m a little less optimistic. I can think of a lot of years where my optimism carried a lot of ifs. This version of the Seattle Seahawks also has some ifs. I won’t go into them here. We all have our lists.

Ever since those wild days back in March, I have felt something different about this team. After the draft, I was certain of it. I would have been happy with either Zabel or Emmanwori in the first round. Then they got both?! Milroe was a jaw dropper for me. Other than not having an established bona fide long time franchise caliber QB, I don’t see any other team with a better overall QB room.
Oline? Shiiiiiitttt!!!!! By almost all accounts it takes offensive linemen 2-3 years before being solid entrenched players. We. Are. There.
LT LG C RG RT
4 R 2 3 4
Those numbers under the line positions are the players year in the league. Just entering their prime. The offense has undergone a huge transformation. Last year the defense went through a transition. We know the defense is good now and will continue to improve.

Overlooked and under appreciated, these Seahawks are going to surprise a lot of talking heads.

I like the look of our O-line right now and I hope we can keep them together for a few years. One feature of most dominating lines is how long they have played together. When your line is great, you get by with less than superstar talent at the skill positions.
