Winning in this league is hard.

We fans puff our chests out about how dominating we think a game should be. It's a good thing my Fearless Prediction Thread doesn't take into account the point spread over or under. We would all be toast.

On average I think we all not only took the over, but by a mile.

Woops.

It's why the games are played kiddies. Any team is capable of beating any other team any given gameday. Just look at this season so far. It's a complete shit show in terms of parody.

We should have beat the 9-2 Rams last week even with 4 turnovers. A last second field goal would have done it. Meanwhile a 1 win Titans team put some scare into us all in the 4th.

It's HARD TO WIN IN THE NFL.

I want to take this moment to feel gratitude that with all the warts and issues and injuries and blah blah...

We have one hell of a football team. 8-3.

We are far from perfect but one thing I can guarantee you is there are about 24 other teams that would love to trade places with us right now.

Just look at the SB champion Eagles. They sh!t the bed against the Cowboys yesterday after holding a 21-0 lead. I was listening to the Philadelphia radio announcers during a long drive home yesterday, and they're as sick about this one as we were about the Rams last week. It's a week-to-week league, and it's still TBD on which NFC or AFC team is going to get on a heater to pull off a championship.

EXACTLY my point! No team in this league is above the ability to lose any given gameday. FACT.

We could have lost today! Imagine the shit show that would have been! One lucky bounce on the onside kick and then a lucky play or two and this website of ours would have become meltdown city.

Those were my thoughts exactly with that onside kick. Everything seemed to be going right for the Titans and I had these sick thoughts of them getting the ball back and then one unlucky throw for a TD. I think I was even more angry on how close we let them get.

Actually, one could say it is a parody. ;)

Brock Huard just mentioned that the Hawks scored 30 points on 64 total plays. That's pretty impressive. Even against the Titans.
Cam Ward had 42 passing attempts........how many times was he pressured? 40.

I thought that spread was a little much. 13.5 points is huge in the NFL.

This is my problem with the current mind set of the team, Dagger in the heart Mentality is still missing, Pete's teams had it but he would not let them use it and we were always coming from behind with heroics. This team I think wants it but has a problem keeping that edge mostly on offense, Kubiak or the coach telling him to ratchet it back.

That momentum you get can be taken away by Officials see Superbowl 40 or an injury or flagrant foul on someone to rally a team, or just by losing your edge thinking you have it early and start coasting so to speak. The other team makes a play and all of sudden momentum is on their side and getting it back can be impossible, or you start playing desperate to try and retake it.

The Rams are peaking early, like the Bucs. People watch and learn.

One nice thing about this team, we are wasting leads, trying not to lose against bad teams on the last play, instead of killing ourselves trying to win against bad teams on the last play.

Go back and look at the Super Bowl winning team. Lots of close games.

@AROS, is this one of those rare games that you felt confident enough to watch live? Or did you wait and watch it later?

My good man almost no game I feel confident to watch anymore. I am so emotionally invested it’s bad for my health! I’ve learned it’s perfectly okay to watch the game after they are over. Self preservation and all.

The team everyone is drooling over (Rams) only scored 3 points after halftime yesterday

Are they being crucified for ratcheting back?

People forget this isn’t college ball. In the NFL, the worst team in the league can punch you in the mouth any given week. Nobody gets a freebie.
