Fields has never shown much. Darnold was in the MVP conversation last year. Going after Sam is the smart choice. Going after Fields is chasing fools gold.Again why is everyone sooo against Darnold yet wants fields at the same age.. with lesser stats? I just don't get it. With a decent defense you still net 7 to 8 wins... still a terrible draft spot for a qb next year.... Everyone wanting these first round QBs, that over the years have panned out to nothing is odd.
Put Geno on the 2023 9ers and you still go to the Super Bowl. Maybe even win it.Purdy is a decade younger and much, much better.
The Vikes did not have a great o-line last year. Sam's failure in the last two games was in part due to their o-line being completely unable to protect him.Oof. I'm sorry man, but I've already explained why several times. It's getting late and I've had a few so I'm going to make this short (er).
Darnold sucked for 6 years until he was on a really good offense. We don't have a really good offense. Darnold has been really bad when his OLine has been really bad. Our OLine is really bad.
It wasn't just A bad game. It was two bad games in a row.Just a bad game.....
sounds good dude.No I'm not. You just can't see it and/or wont admit it because you're one of the worst offenders with the strawman arguments.
Yeah super frustrating, I’m just hoping that stuff calms down but I fear at the first sign of adversity they come out of the wood work and say “I told you so!” Just like they did with Macdonald early on.Yeah for two years now, the same (mostly three) people were instantly on every mildly perceived slight of Geno like it was a Bat Call, armed with their stockpile of cherry-picked stats and blame for everyone else, and now they're claiming they weren't trying to argue that he's an elite QB? Funny stuff.
For the 100th time it’s happening on BOTH SIDES. That’s why people get frustrated with you man.I have always argued that Geno has the talent to give top 5-10 performances if provided a contender-caliber supporting cast. This is not the same thing as definitively calling a player "elite."
As if there aren't 3 or more on the other side of Geno debate who became largely one-issue posters engaging in mostly bad faith rhetoric.
Smart choice is going with Fields to field a complete team for the QOTF. Personally I prefer the taam stick with Howell.Fields has never shown much. Darnold was in the MVP conversation last year. Going after Sam is the smart choice. Going after Fields is chasing fools gold.
It sounds to me like you're just manifesting the narrative early on and like you're going to take any criticism of Darnold or hindsight praise of Geno as "coming out of the woodwork."Yeah super frustrating, I’m just hoping that stuff calms down but I fear at the first sign of adversity they come out of the wood work and say “I told you so!” Just like they did with Macdonald early on.
Sounds like the .net consensus is no to Darnold, why immediately revert back to a bridge QB with similar talent? Use that cap $ for some serious team building, roll with Howell & a mid-round pick, wait for the 26' QB class when we have a ton of cap room to put the finishing touches on this team.
Fix the OLine, add a couple weapons, patch the D with dogs, then QB's will gravitate towards us. Be patient, great things ahead if we don't force things and put obstacles in our own way.
Vikings had a top 10 pass blocking line last year. (They were brought down by what they could do at run blocking). They were #2 in Pass Block Win Rate and top 10 in Time-To-Pressure.The Vikes did not have a great o-line last year. Sam's failure in the last two games was in part due to their o-line being completely unable to protect him.
That’s funny because I proved your thesis wrong. You can search the board and I gave Geno praise every time he played well, often in conversations with you.It sounds to me like you're just manifesting the narrative early on and like you're going to take any criticism of Darnold or hindsight praise of Geno as "coming out of the woodwork."
I know multiple posters who literally would stop posting during stretches of Geno playing well only to return when he faltered. Again, the same thing all around. Super frustrating, as you describe it.
Your right, it is definitely human nature to post something after you feel you have been proven right. It sounds to me like you're just manifesting the narrative early on and like you're going to take any criticism of Darnold or hindsight praise of Geno as "coming out of the woodwork."

We can no longer talk about the quarterback who got traded from the team... yesterday? While we're actively talking about quarterbacks who MIGHT join the team? On a thread entitled "Geno Traded!" referencing the loss of a 3 year starter? For the 100th time it’s happening on BOTH SIDES. That’s why people get frustrated with you man.
And that’s not the argument most pro Geno guys are using at all and you know it.
How about this. How about everyone move on and start talking about Seahawks QBs from here on out?
