Condotta reports that John's offer was 2 years 40 million. There was no counter offer from Smith's camp. Instead, he requested a trade. Smith probably wants Stafford type contract. 4 years, 40 million. Will the Raiders pay that? Will see.

But this indicates that Geno sort of forced their hand. JS and MM wanted to keep Geno at a reasonable price.

That’s a new report. Just read that. So yeah, Geno wanted to join Pete. Nothing JS could do but get something for him.

IMO this is huuuuuge mistake ....shocked about the trade, the price for Geno, the Darnold Option and not least about so maaany Fans are Happy about all of this !!!

Now we at least have hope things will improve. With Geno, there was little to none.
